I'm starting to think that remodeling and fixing the web page is all they have to do right now. As mentioned, there is no powder...

A roll crimp will help with feeding in an auto loader.

Has anyone tried the new Hodgdon web page? Evidently it was revised in the past couple of days and I had considerable trouble trying to pull up some pistol data. The new selections aren't bad at first glance but the printing function is completely different and not anything like in the past. Sometimes new and improved isn't.

You can brace out for the bench top but, it must be extremely solid. If you mount direct to the bench top you must also have at least 3/4" overhang. With a tall bench you can get by with little to no toe kick area.
-
Find a Trader Joe's and look for their regular "Joe" store brand. Pretty good and very reasonable.
-
Your overhang is to much. If you mount directly to the bench top you need a minimum of 3/4" overhang. I would not go over 1 1/2". I know from experience that 3-4" overhang will flex to much.

Make sure the shellplate is indexing properly. Check to be sure it turns freely and can index like it should. if it is slightly off you will get primers flipped sideways and crushed. Clean, lube and adjust shellplate.

you will be fine.. look at Neomet he's 78 and still shoots really well :goof:
Seriously, Neomet is 78? My gosh, he doesn't look a day over 70!!
I would come up with something witty here, but the Senior's early bird special starts at 5:00 and by the time I get my dentures in and drive my Buick LeSabre at 20 mph to the restaurant I will be late if I don't leave right now.
And with your left turn signal on all the way...

I've been married longer than that!!

Can't explain the marks you are seeing on the primer disc but, flipped primers normally indicate a timing or alignment issue.

I've had the same issue with just about all of my Dillon measures. I just drop 3-4 loads and then drop 4 to confirm the setting. I do this anytime I'm away from the press for more that a few hours. Powder will settle by itself but, there are many other things that can cause it to settle even more. Household vibrations from traffic, running your tumbler on or around the loading bench, opening and closing drawere, doors etc. Always drop a few loads and the re-check your settings before beginning a loading session. Just makes sense...

The SDB is what will fit your needs. With the SDB set up and running you load 1 found per handle stroke. It takes 4 strokes to produce one round on the LCT. You have to position the primer by hand on the LCT, the SDB sets the primer automatically. So, 600 handle strokes or 2400, you pick. You already know about the quality and the warranty. The SDB is simple and straight forward to set up and operate.

Is that the range across from Hodgdons ???

6 clicks on fhe primer arm gets you going and on the #10 handle pull stop at the bottom and lock out the case feeder and you will finish with no primers left and no brass feeding. Just finish out the shell plate.

Speaking of coffee...
I'm finding that growing older requires some degree of stamina and a decent set of legs.
I walked at least 3 miles yesterday inside my house looking for my coffee cup.
Maybe I should put some of those push top coffee things around the house, so
ICan at least have some coffee while trying to remember what I was doing.

What part of "Slower traffic keep right" do they not understand?
Left lane, left turn signal... for 300 miles!

Silhouette is my primary powder and HS6 is backup with 115 and 124 grain bullets. I do shoot 115's almost exclusively as they are just amazingly flat and accurate. It is hard to tell the difference between the two powders in my gun but, shooting the same stage over and over where the time is equal I always score better with Silhouette. I have also used SR and SP primers with no issues. Wolf, Win, Fed, CCI all work just fine and there is little, if any, difference over the chrono. I'm guessing SVI is protecting the breach face on the primer recommendation and I'm sure the powder tip is based on some pretty good insight with their set up. Also, I load at 1.145-1.156 depending on the bullet, MG or Zero, and I have no problem with compressed loads or slinging powder with a 650.
-
Age of the machine does make a difference. There is a 14" and a 17" mount for the case feeder and that is the 3" variation you are seeing. And as mentioned, you can shorten the mount to your own specs if needed.
-
I moved to 115's exclusively for 9 major. The gun shoots flat and It's almost like cheating I run either MG or Zero with 8.6-8.7 grains of Silhouette at 1.155 OAL or 8.9 grains of HS-6 at the same OAL. Accuracy is excellent with either bullet or powder combination, 1.3" to 1.5" groups at 25 yards.

If you can get WSF in the deal it will work quite well in both with lead or coated bullets. If you were going with plated or jacketed I would use Titegroup. I get good results and accuracy with both powders when matched with the right bullet.

Reload after six won't solve the major vs minor disparity. And, if 8 shot minor isn't equivalent to 6 shot major then it should not have been implemented. If there is no parity in classifiers then there is no parity in matches.
