Our policy is "Buddy, don't shoot anybody but the bad guy!"
Small business does have some benefits.

I guess you can quit practicing those ridiculous reloads...

For me, shots on steel is the bugaboo that screws up the re-load plan. I just make sure I hit 'em the first time and see whatever I need to see to hit 'em the first time.
It's working so far, but those no shoots are pesky.

Somewhat off topic, but I came home one day and found the dog gnawing on a loaded round on the bed. I'm much more careful now...I'm not sure if it could have gone off or not, saliva on primer and all, but it was still scary. It's easy to forget what we're working with.

A small sample

Eminem
James Brown

Louis Armstrong
Junior Brown

And if you think you're gonna, just shoot in the a- box fast.
Just shoot A's, F'in A, just shoot A's, you're gonna hit em' anyway...)

I'm an area manager for a chain of primarily CD, game and DVD stores, our owner is a fellow gun nut/hunter, and I travel by car primarily. No worries. Now carrying concealed in Ohio, that goes in "What I hate!"

I didn't think about the doors for barricades. Nice tip.

It's on THE LIST for IPSC, I'll check USPSA tomorrow.

In Toledo on business, suited up at 11:00pm for a little DF practice. Nice big room, tile floor in the kitchen makes a good shooter box. If you're in a hotel in Toledo and hear "bzzz, click click click bzzz" , I'll be done soon.

I believe one of the first steps to more accurate shooting is learning the trigger reset. After each shot, hold the trigger back and let it forward JUST enough for it to reset, and no further. This will tighten your groups immediately and you will smile! If you're alredy doing this, keep reading...

Sounds good to me. I guess I should get a 1911 so I can understand this stuff. At least I could practice clearing jams.

Congrats, I hope to be there next year, nippin' at yer heels with a puny 9mm...

That's exactly what I was trying to do. Hit A's and miss no-shoots. I got alot of no shoot penalties the previous match. None this time.

yeah, Jeff Maas does a real good job. If he'd quit working so hard he might even get to shoot.

What kind of trouble?
I thought that plated data was more similar to lead than to jacketed.
This is what I was looking for...

Soon as I burn my last 5k of winchesters wsp, I'm going to Federal too. Already using Federal for matches...

It's only a club match, but still feels good.
After an hour of dry-fire every night for 45 days, I won my production class and came in 2nd overall shooting .40 minor with a DA gun!

We are allowed to brag a little around here, right?

I assume it's illegal to take a back-up load in case you go minor? (Or in prod, sub minor)
You get the one chance at the chrono and that's it?
I guess if it was allowed to use a different load then we'd have people chrono the one load and shoot the other...'course they could do that now I guess.
Are there precautions taken to ensure a shooter uses the ammo that was chrono'd?
SA
(never been to a major match...yet!)

If it's a springfield, it has to be an XD doesn't it?
DA first shot at least 5 lbs. for production...

Thanks. I'm using 3.6 clays under a Berry's 124 for about 1025-1050. I have used 231 in the past and liked it, but clays feels better. I just don't want to accelerate gun wear.

I got a chance to shoot the XD tonite. Very Impressive. I put 50 rds. thru a 9 in about 10 minutes. The front sight tracks right back in place beautifully, and the trigger is nice, light and smooth. With that price, and a 5 incher and ported models on the way...hhmmmmm.
So my question is, in which matches or events is TGO using the XD? Anybody know?

I read a post on the Yahoo IPSC list that suggested clays is too hot for jacketed bullets in 9. I tried for 30 minutes to join the damn list and gave up, so I'll ask you guys.
Is clays too hot for 9mm minor with jacketed bullets?
I've been using it for awhile with 124s from Berrys at about 1025 fps and have not seen any obvious pressure signs, plus their website does list some similar loads for the 9:
125 GR. SIE FMJ
COL: 1.090"
HS-6 6.8 1169 27,100 CUP
UNIVERSAL 4.9 1118 30,600 CUP
HP-38 4.8 1088 28,800 CUP
TITEGROUP 4.4 1136 30,600 CUP
CLAYS 3.7 1056 32,500 CUP
Any thoughts?
BTW, you guys are great.
