  1. The moment I take the first step out of the box going to the next box/shooting position is when the mag release is pushed almost automatically, and a fresh mag is inserted with the gun up in my working space (in front of my face) and rotated out toward the next target ready to shoot at the earliest time when arriving at the next shooting box/position. I do the same thing in the Gun Fighting courses I have taken while facing the shoot targets down, I reload and then do a 360 degree scan to check for any more BG's. Yes there are some disciplines that cross over here as we get older and wiser. I have learned to appreciate "Hot Ranges" as much as Cold Ranges.
  2. In the mid 90's I shot a G-21 with 200GR SWC lead (more than 10,000 rounds) and never had a problem including one group that made 210PF in an Alabama match. Did not clean the gun that much and never had issues, and yes it smokes a lot indoors our outdoors.
  3. My last one was in the "Terrace Level" of the house and was 12x14 which included all the Radio equipment. Sold the home, in temporary quarters while the Retirement Villa is being built. I will have my Man cave in the terrace level again but this time it is 20x25 so plenty of room for everything. Cement walls on 3 sides and fully studded wall where a steel door that opens outward will be installed. Will post pictures next April/May 2015 of the results as the home will not close until March 2015.
  4. I am in a worse predicament. I hold a B Class Limited rating but have not shot a state or area match in more than 12 years. I have shot a couple of local matches in the last 5 years. I have about 1000 rounds of loaded 40 cal and about 1000 loaded 45 that I can shoot. The issue is that I have just sold my house and have packed all the reloading equipment away. I retired a year ago and now have time to get back to shooting again. Job tie down was the issue before, but now I am a free man! I am going to get in gear and get back to shooting local matches again after I move into my temporary quarters. It will be almost a year before the Retirement Villa is built, so I am going to get into Shooting Mode and work my way back up to B class, which from my viewpoint is possibly the easiest class to get into and the hardest to get out of!
