  1. Thanks guys, I saw that Novak is offering a .145 wide notch on its sights and that is much closer to what I am used to. Thanks for the input. Justin
  2. I have been shooting production division with Sevigny Competition sights. I am trying to see if anyone is using/has heard of any adjustable target sights that have a wider front sight/rear notch opening that the traditional Bo Mar style sights. Justin
  3. I shoot Bayou Bullets 9mm 160g in production and have nothing but good things to say. I can't tell the difference between them and jacketed bullets as far as cleaning goes. I use Solo 1000 and get no smoke at all. To top all this off Donnie has top notch customer service and is always very helpful.
  4. Thanks for the info guys. I will post what I finally end up going with and how it works out. Justin
  5. I have been looking at various ways to build a 1911 wide body styled gun optimized for the Limited Division. I have been back and forth between Caspian Arms wide body kit, slide and internals, or an STI short block kit. Any info on those two options and any other solutions/kits that are out there would be appreciated. Justin
  6. I have used these bullets in a G34 with a KKM barrel. I get a bit of leading using Solo 1000 but it is the least smoke of any powder I have tried. The bullets are a good value if you don't mind doing some in depth cleaning of the barrel after each competition. Accuracy and recoil using Solo are better than average. Never had any feeding issues.
  7. Thanks for the help guys. I was researching 135g bullets and the guy I am buying from said he had some 160g in .356 diameter as well he would let me try. I like the idea but I have no loading experience with a bullet that heavy. He recommended WSF powder but I have Solo 1000 as well.
  8. Thanks a lot guys that is really helpful, I am just curious why they are in such low demand compared to the other common 9 weights. I don't know if it lack of name recognition or if there is a valid reason. Was the accuracy, smoke, or recoil an issues with any of these loads?
