SSP
But going to try ESP this year and CDP this year or next.
-
We had one fold. Not sure if it was lack of participation or founders were overwhelmed.
Another local club took or bought the inventory.
They also picked up one o the range days
Steel instead of uspsa.

Mark Otto 2 Round Shotgun Shell Caddie

hope that helps

Saw one Saturday at a Walmart,
only spent 5 min with it.
glass looked clear, reticle usable but not sure about the FFP for me.
no batteries so no illumination check.
Not liking the uncapped turrets.
I do not believe there was a way to keep the throwdown lever in the up position.
price was 299.00
Between this and a used MTAC that are popping up for a little more right now I would stay with the MTAC.
Of course that is just my initial impression.

Thanks Benny.

Looks good to me.
Nice work.

FYI I've got the voodoo 46" case that i got from shooters connection and I have a 24" barreled Benelli and it barely and I mean barely fits.
Also they only show it in 42inch
link for 46"

I just had VM Tactical apart today and also noticed some marring on the hammer face.
I'll be following this thread.
-
agree, looks interesting.
Tineye search reveals no hits.
where did you get the pic from?
-
Got a 96% in about 37 minutes. Disappointing that I only barely made the GM level of IDPA SO. When you look at my time though I think my hit factor should go up.
ha ha.
I got quite a laugh out of that. Thanks

16" Lightweight DD barreled upper.
Shot a fun match with targets out to 350 or so and there is a monthly match
with targets out to the same distance.
I don't think it hampered me at all
-
Glock 21 is the most common i see.
Remember- sample size is 1 club.
-
I use a CED7000.
Same here
-
At every match i usually have a new wgouge or cut on my hands.
tried mechanix gloves and while perfectly fine i eventually went with some
PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT-Alpha) Glove
http://www.skdtac.com/PIG-Full-Dexterity-Tactical-FDT-Alpha-Glove-p/pig.700.htm
i like them, no cuts, can still do tasks that require dexterity

Previous slings used:
Magpul-I have a torn rotator so the direction to cinch-up and back does not work for me, also
found it to chafe my neck- for me common in unpadded slings.
Vickers- better but I have a non padded one,see above
Ares Armentum, I actually like this sling but
Current favorite is the VTAC wide padded upgraded
http://www.vikingtactics.com/slings_upgraded.html
At drills and matches where the carbine or shotgun is worn for a few hours I grew to appreciate this sling.
It took a while to get the length right for me but now that it is i really like it, both for the downward direction of tightening
and the ability to really crank it down.
It's also pretty quick to loosen and adjust.
I'm really tempted to try the proctor sling.
Nothing against Viking but 40 for the sling, 20 or more for 2 QD's, 15 or more for 4 QD attachment points it starts to add up

Just signed up.
Looking forward to it.
Thanks to the OP for setting this up.

I started with green after some research.
Then switched to green and noticed a big improvement in my ability to pick up the sight.
I ran out if green fiber and went back to red.
My scores suffered.
Now it's green again and ill be staying with green.

I was shooting the fl state idpa match.
On the third stage of the afternoon I noticed my front sight was loose, very loose.
Tightened it up and all seemed fine until a few stages later I'm thinking to myself as I'm shooting the stage, something is wrong, something is wrong. On the last target I realize I have NO front sight, it's gone.
I would like to say my poor performance was entirely due to this but I know better
Now whenever I clean the pistols I check the sights

Sorry if this is s dumb question but with the new classifier times, will they be applied retroactively reclassifying people into these new time groupings? If someone made EX in the only time but would be SS in the new times, do they get bumped down?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but with the new classifier times for SSP and ESP so close together why not just merge them into just one class and be done with it?
Maybe more to do with 'race' or 'enhanced' guns v 'stock'?

Not a dumb question at all... I posted it on another forum... no answer.
I'd like to know as well. I'm in that situation.

SoCal,
I'm also in Palm Beach County.
The Markham Park group is South Florida Pistol Clob
Schedule:
http://www.sfpc.org/?page_id=27
2nd Sunday is a Steel challenge match- highly recommend
also-3 gun is now 2-Gun Rifle-Shotgun
The 1st Sunday trophy Match is just the monthly sanctioned match.
and yes- there are trophys, or supposed to be
Stage 3 was a classifier stage.
Usually there is one classifier stage per 'Trophy Match'
The annual Classifier Match was held in February which had 4 stages of Classifier Stages
so if you only shoot match with SFPC then you will not have a classification until August.
However, not far from PBC is Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club
About 2 hr from southern PBC
Every 1st saturday is a USPSA 'workshop'
every 2nd Saturday is a USPSA Match
I am not sure what their classifier schedule is like as I have only shot 3-Gun there
Several members from SFPC carpool up to Malabar for the 2nd Sunday match
but give em a call.
If I can help you with more info just shoot me an email.
Welcome to FL and PBC,
there is a lot of shooting events here.
USPSA
IDPA
2 and 3-Gun
Sub-Gun
Carbine matches
Drills
As a matter of fact Tomorrow at Markham- 6:30pm is Drilsl Night run by the local IDPA Club
Tropical Shooting Sports Association
http://tssaidpa.us/wordpress/index.php/drills-nights/
you can do Pistol or Carbine
(carbine usually includes some pistol transitions)
you would have to go through the new shooter orientation first- See linked info.
if you go bring a good amount of ammo.
Hope to see you there!
Good morning everyone,
Thank you very much for your assistance. I am located in Palm Beach County and have found a club that shoots regularly at Markham Park.
What I have discovered is that different clubs/ranges have classifiers but they don't always name the "shoot/match" as a USPSA classifier. i.e. "Trophy Match" on a particular day can be used as a classifier.
For new people joining the great business of competitive shooting, it does seem a bit of a challenge to sort things out. I would hope that as time goes on it can be more organized. Coming from the NASCAR industry, I saw first hand how proper organization can certainly boost a sport.
So now that I have figured out what and whom to ask for info I am happy to say I am finally on the right track.
For anyone new shooters reading this, don't despair and be persistent. This is an incredibly fun sport with amazing people.
-
Not sure where OP is but I know south Florida pistol club sf-06 includes 1 classifier stage per month on the 1st Sunday match
If OP could post a zip or location perhaps some other members could offer some more help.

Looking at the scores Mr. Pruitt must have really smoked on the Bridge Over Troubled Waters stage. Next closest open shooter (KC) was nearly 18% behind.
I was in the squad right behind him.... he ran and "jumped" through the railing.... Got to admit it was pretty cool to see that with all the mud and snot all over that bridge
vids of his stages are up.

Suspect by Robert Crais.
Surprised to see a new character, well two really.
