19 Holster restrictions Suitable for everyday use. “Race gun” type holster prohibited.
Must carry pistol so that the front strap is at or above the top of the belt.
May not be manufactured or cut lower than, and must cover the slide up to, ½” below
the ejection port (belt slide “Yaqui” type holster exempt).
Revolver holsters open no lower than halfway down the cylinder.
Does your DOH carry your gun where the front strap is at or above the top of the belt? Mine doesn't. You can't believe how pissed I am over this and the trigger pull weight rule.

I like theme stages / matches. We did that with the FL SS 00, all horror movies, (Who remembers "Army of Darkness" and shooting through the cobwebs at the zombies, and blasting out the back of the coffin in the last position?). I know PaulW remembers the "book".
You just have to stir the f-ing pot don't you.
You can put Chris and I down as your first 2 R.O.'s

Open = 7.1382
Limited = 5.7175
Production = 5.1527
There are the H.H.F.'s for stage #9 and I know for a fact that the Production winner shot the D.T.'s. Just think about what he may have done if his back hadn't been screwed up.
Where I come from if a target disappears you chase it down and shoot it.
-
I don't play well enough with others to get involved in team sports.

So, now that the match is over- Why didn't anyone leave the Disappearing Targets and cut 10+ seconds off their time? I thought about trying that when I shot the stage on Friday and am now pretty sure that some of the DTs should have been left alone to buy significant time savings and ultimately a higher HF for the stage, after ROing 130+ shooters and watching the results. If I could shoot it again, I would definitely go that route.
Thanks again all!
And Sharyn and Chris, I am working on my A-card (and hopefully my M-card!) Show a little love!
I can't speak for anyone else but I'm just not able to prep a stage with intentional MIKES no matter where it will place me. I also believe it is bad stage design to make it where leaving a target gains an advantage. I do not believe that any of the stages at the Monster match where badly designed so maybe this is why nobody left the no-penalty targets.

There are no dumb questions on the road to self betterment, only ignorant ones and they are only ignorant questions untill you receive the answer.
Welcome to the best forum on the net where to minimize your ignorance. Enjoy.

Congrats Matt!!! I can't call you a sandbagger any more.
You Grandbagging hoser. Way to go!!!!!!!
I sure hope this isn't a repost.

I say $125 and no prizes or only donated prizes. I'm in it for the shooting not the booty.
-
I think the biggest problem people are having with this idea (I'm not one) is the $200.00 price and no u,d,c,b,a,m,gm class win prizes. If you cut the cost and the prizes you're probably more likely to get more people interested in the concept of a no class match.
Yes, I know how the last three words make a pun.

When, Where and can I bring some friends? I'm all about it.

Some sort of oversight I'm sure.
Obviously special rules are in effect for this match. Clearly no one has a problem with that.
No oversight; It's the Monster Match and it's AWSOME. All rule variances were purely intentional.
You are 100% correct with that statement. I'll also add that anyone who does have a problem with that does not need to get involved with the MONSTER MATCH in any manner what-so-ever to include posting in this thread. It's all purely voluntary.

What a great match!!!!! Set up great, Managed great and ALL 10 stages were a blast. GREAT BIG 'THANKS' Shannon, Wadette and all the R.O.'s, Ya'll did a wonderful job. All those on squad 8, it's was a real joy shooting with you all.
As XD shooter said, I bled a little on stage 2 "Deja Woo" but it wasn't one of my best stages because I was so stoked about how well the whole 'Dive onto the deck, belly slide into the center port, rip the three targets' went that I forgot to reload going into the next port and it cost me about 6-8 seconds. But it was stiil a blast doing it.
Those who didn't make it really missed out. It was one heck of a time.
-
I saw it. It's real and it's coool.
-
Look, I love reloads as much as the next guy but COME ONE!!!! You guys want to make 50+ loads this weekend?
Yes, I do.

How many Production shooters?
1 here!

Ramshot is sold as a shotgun powder. I want to try it for 9mm minor and e-mailed for data once but have since lost it as I don't have local access to the Ramshot line. Competition is right around VV N320 on most burn rate charts so I think it would make a pretty good powder for 9 minor.
My 9mm minor load is 3.4 grns. of Ramshot Competition behind a 147 grn. Berry's or 147 grn Precision molly "Black Bullet" (for practice till I run out then it's all Berry's) w/ Win. S.P. primers pushes 133 P.F.. My Berry's are loaded to 1.185; Yes, you are reading this correctly, I load my 9mm Production loads to 1.185 with the Berry's bullets and they function perfect in my M&P.

I hate it when I revert back to old ways and make an ass out of myself because I have to be right no matter what. Even when I am it doesn't matter I should handle it different. Back to the drawing board and square one of showing others I can be an O.K. guy.

I don't know if you gained an advantage or not but the penalty, rather it's 1 for offense or 1 per shot should be the same for every shooter and be written in the stage briefing and announced during the walk-through.

Wish I'd read this thread last night.

US Appendix D9 Production Division 21.5 "External modifications other than sights not allowed." This clause is not meant to prohibit exchanging external parts from one approved model handgun to another approved model handgun. Exchanging external parts from one approved model handgun to another approved model handgun from the same manufacturer is allowed, providing that the parts are original manufacturers parts and offered in their catalogs or on their handguns that otherwise meet division criteria. The following original manufacturer parts may be exchanged: Extended mag release, extended slide stop and external safeties including ambidextrious, provided they stay within the intent of the division. No added weights, no mag well attachments, no thumb rest or external devices used to help reduce recoil and/or muzzle flip may be exchanged.
You can change out base blates from one approved type of XD to another approved type of XD.
