  1. Also makes me think if I'm running a stage that I shouldn't try to outrun what the conditions will allow. A little personal responsibility goes a long way sometimes. Then again, I don't really agree with the common thought that it's someone else's responsibility to accident-proof my life. However, if I were putting on a match and there was a slick condition, I'd be the first to warn people to slow down.

  2. I have to say that I've had some issues running the Wally World bulk Winchester stuff but it seems to be handling it more reliably now that I've got a few more rounds down the tube. I have some Remington stuff I picked up from a buddy that runs like a champ through it though! 3" slugs run pretty sweet too

  3. Hmmmm, note to self....when RO says "if" shooter is done figure out what target you forgot LOL. I forgot one this weekend and it was the most obvious one AND the one I specifically devised a plan to shoot! Oh well, it was my first stage in my first match.

  4. I know how you feel wanting to upgrade to a new gun, but nothing wrong with a g35 for limited. Especially if you're shooting a 34 in Production.

On the other hand...nothing wrong with loading some soft .40s and keeping the 35 and ditching the 34 :)

See.....I'm going to be getting or building an STI for some other reasons anyway, so I won't really have a need for the 35. It's been a great gun to shoot, but it's time to pass it on to someone else I think. The 34 is cheaper to shoot in bulk and recoil is a little better on my messed up elbow.

  5. Shot my first USPSA match today and had a great time. I had been shooting a Glock 35 for some time, but picked up a Glock 34 just yesterday so I went to my buddy's house and loaded up some ammo real quick and shot that in the Limited class today. I think I'll keep that gun for Production and get rid of the G35 to help fund an 2011 for Limited. Bad thing is that I've got nothing for 9mm, so tonight has been Xmas shopping for brass and bullets:) I can tell this is going to be something I'll really enjoy. If anyone is looking for a G35 with 20+ mags, let me know....mine's going up for sale!

  6. Been lurking for awhile and finally decided to make a post in here. I'm just another new guy from Central Washington. Although I've been shooting pretty much all my life, I just started into shooting long range and tactical matches last year with my brother, winning the West Coast Tactical match and coming in 2nd at the Idaho State Sniper Challenge. We've both decided to get into 3 gun since there seems to be a shortage of team matches around here. For now, I've outfitted myself with the following:

    Glock35

    Alum magwell

    Lone wolf trigger goodies

    Heinie sights

    bunch o mags

    DPMS AR15 16" (pieced together)

    Defensive Edge trigger

    CAA collapsible stock

    Millett DMS 1-4

    bunch o mags

    Remington 1100

Chopped barrel to 22" and installed Tru-Choke

    Fiber front sight

    Mag extension

    EZ loader

OD Green GunKote with black synthetic stocks

On the side, I assist with the operation of R Bros Rifles, which is a company my brother started to build long range, target and precision rifles. He does most all the metal work, but I help out where/when I can with metal work, concept and 3d CAD design, web stuff, marketing, testing, painting, etc. Through our rifle business and shooting I've met some great people (Shawn Carlock, Glen Seekins, etc) and hope that being involved in 3-gun will only expose me to more of this great community. This site has been a great resource for me for awhile now, and I can only hope to be able to participate and pay that back someday.
