  1. Was in one of my local gun shops last week and asked the owner if he had ever considered carrying Blade-tech holsters. He never heard of Blade-tech. LOL

HAHA, It's time for me to retire from this site for the day. I am going to end up spending all evening on here and miss out on dinner..

  2. Gun shop owner who used to have a Desert Eagle .44 Magnum in his rental case, and does no longer, describing his "rental case gun" experience with the Desert Eagle:

"You fire it for about 200 rounds and it stops working. So you clean it. Then you fire it for another 200 rounds and it stops working. So you clean it. You just go along like that for awhile. Then it breaks."

(Okay, not idiotic. Sometimes the funny stuff is funny because it's true.)

This is a bit late, but I have a Desert Eagle in .50 AE!!! The thing fails to go into battery every few magazines, that is it! None of this 200 rounds stuff is true.. If it is, then they're luckier than me. Anyhow, shooting a hand cannon is a lot of fun (especially when its gold :] ).

  3. its sad. speed, power accuracy.

    no power

nowhere near as accurate as the real thing.

    airsoft sucks.

buuuuuuut, it can be used as a practice alternative for us city fellows.

  4. +1

I dislike the fact that they make inaccurate statements, especially when it comes to firearms. I don't like the fact that there could be people who watch the show who don't necessarily know firearm laws, and are being misinformed. I understand they have to make the show interesting (and it is), but at least be truthful. If you make a mistake, correct yourself. The DEA serves a very important job, but there is no reason to be dishonest.

  5. I guess this is a good place to ask this ???? the gun i bought was built by Josh Halfman. Anyone know of him or if he is still in bussiness. I had thought about getting a limited slide made for this one with the flames and all. I hope my pic posts we will see I got alot of non computer skills

Talk about unique. Was the flames and popple holes your idea? How's the dot lift look through that jpoint? sorry for the thread drift.

    Preston

This is a jpoint related question:

How big is the glass in comparison to the c-mores? I assume its not an issue regardless of it's size?

  6. If you can find any relatively cool and dry space, that should suffice. I personally use cabinet that is up high enough and out of reach of smaller people (kids). I don't want it disappearing on me. I have heard of other people keeping it in water tight bins, stored in the garage.

  7. Hey guys, I recently got some bullets from a plated bullet mfg whose name I will leave out. The plating seems to be reasonably thick and they are consistently sized. But, the plating (on ALL of them) has several small "dents", randomly spread over the entire bullet. The dents are not deep and if I had to guess, I'd say there is an average of about 15 dents per bullet. They were 9mm 147 grain copper plated bullets which were sized to .357 per my request. I have used the same bullet sized to .356 in the past, and a similar 135 grain bullet, and do not recall them looking like this. Is this going to affect the accuracy I am going to get out of these bullets, or do you think they will be fine? I do not have a camera to provide a photo, but I have tried to accurately described how they look.

    Thanks,

    -Kyle

    Kyle,

I would think the chances are good that the dents are nothing more than a product of those soft bullets banging against each other either during packaging, transport or both. I doubt you have anything to worry about. But the true test is to load some up and test for yourself. Good Luck!

    +1

I think that has happened to me before too. I didn't test the dented bullets for accuracy but they seemed just as good.

    +1 x2

I agree that the bullets should function just fine. If there where any difference it would be very minuscule at distances around 25 yards. If you where shooting 100 yards and further, it would be more severely effected. I'd say use them as practice ammo.

  8. Keep in mind that the IMM has evolved quite a bit since the early ones, it might be a good idea to state what hole and comp pattern you have.

Hybrid schueman (spelling) barrel w/ 3 ports. Compensator has 3 main ports and a side port on both sides at the end. In total between barrel and comp there are 8 holes.

  9. Today I took the opportunity to leave work during lunch hours and go shoot around with my SVI IMM. I loaded a few rounds of 9.6g 2n28 MG124. After plinking a little, the recoil seemed a little unreasonable. A few nights ago I sat down and loaded up the same load with 10.6g 3n38. I fired a few of them and the recoil nearly disappeared! :surprise: For a second I though the loads weren't up to 170PF, but the rounds weight on a scale showing they where correct. I picked up nearly ever case an noticed that they had a miniscule bulge at the bottom. It is about a quarter inch from the rim of the brass casing. The primers seem a tiny tiny bit flatter than they where when previously loaded. Should I be worried or is this normal? Anyhow, the casing is definately bulged a little at the bottom, this is not because of lack of going into battery. What else could cause this besides unussually high pressures. I thought that the primer was supposed to be the first thing to show signs increased pressures.

    Edit: Caliber is .38 SC 10.6g 3n38 124jhp MG @ 1.235

    Any input appreciated.

  10. my girlfriend has gotten the uspsa bug. she's been shooting my xdm 9mm in production. the recoil on it has been a bit difficult for her. Can anyone recommend a better option?

Got my wife a STI 9mm Steel Master and she really likes it.. Loaded to 130-135 PF no recoil and she likes the weight..I used her as excuse to buy it and it shoots extremely well

Hehehe... I did the SAME thing. That is a FUN shooting little gun!

momentary thread drift: So tell me, how do you get your laddies to shoot with ya? Mine HATES the fact that I spend so much money on guns. If only she was competitive... I think most any competitive people would enjoy this sport if they could afford it, although production isn't to expensive and still fun. I better start planning on getting her out to the range so I can get a new gun (for her of course :D).
