  1. Hello,

On 6/24/20 I ordered a CZ 75 Shadow 2 in SA/ DA through my local gun store that is a CZ dealer.  I understand this pistol is back ordered.

For those of you that ordered one of these pistols recently, how long was the wait??

    Thanks!

I have a Springfield Range Officer Elite Target in 9mm and use Dawson 10 round magazines with the black aluminum basepads.

    Dawson magwell with gap.

( I use it in IPSC Classic Division)

My reloads have COL: 29,5mm ( 0.1161 inch)

I use 145 grain coated round nose bullets.

It runs flawless  (with the occasional nose-dive on a slide-lock reload which can be cured by a little slap on the back of the slide.)

I did have to have the chamber reamed to get my reloads to fit.  (Springfield chambers are TIGHT)

EDIT:  My reloads have a power factor of 130 with the factory 9 pound recoil spring.

Only other internals I have changed out are the Firing pin stop plate, main spring (light competition spring) and Geppert X-line trigger.

The stock main spring was very heavy, but didn't hinder function of the gun... it was just a pain during empty starts, having to quickly rack the slide.

The Range Officer Elite target does not have front slide serrations and front strap checkering, but grip tape fixes that.

I also have the same pistol.  I know what you mean about the chamber being "tight."   I started using a 9mm Lee undersize die and that has eliminated my feeding issue, certainly helps reform the Glocked brass.  The Lee undersized die takes the brass down an additional 0.003".   My problem was the gun would stay out of battery a 1/8" or so occasionally.  Seems like you addressed this problem by having the chamber finish reamed.

There is something to it when the users manual says "use factory ammo."  We have to do our best and turn out quality reloads with this gun.

  3. It's not that hard to shoot this mover. It doesn't move nearly as fast as a swinger. Virtually no lead is required. Once we set it up we may find we don't even need the NS on there.

Well, that may be true for an Open gun at 1450 fps, but with Production at 884 fps (9mm, 147 grain) a target 20 yds away and moving at 10 fps will travel 8" during the bullet's flight, which is wider than the entire A zone. At 10 yds away it's 4", so some lead is still needed for the 5.9" wide A zone. At 180 grain Major velocities the movement is still 7.7 " at 20 yds.

That's assuming these particular parameters, but I recall neglecting to do the calcs last year and shooting behind the target every time - mainly because after the first shot I forgot to lead it at all, never having shot a mover. (Practicing the simulated mover on Matt Burkette's website helps; we'll see how much in three weeks!)

Granted you'll give up time but you can also just shoot it when it comes to rest through the opening in the port. It is not a requirement to shoot it on the move while going down hill on the pulley.

  5. No, not really. Funny thing is, after I've discovered the hack/leak I've logged in and changed my password immediately (I'm a club contact). Now my membership is expiring, the club registration is expiring and I can't do anything about it online. I guess it's time to switch to snail mail.

My membership expired on 11/30. I called HQ today and was able to pay over the phone.

  6. Aww I forgot. Ben Gals have em and match is next week. So difficult to get those girls together off season

Oh great, that doesn't help. Now I am going to have to go to a toy store and look for hand cuffs.

Let's see...I brought in Kames Sports as a sponsor, designed stage #2, I am ROing Saturday and Sunday. Now I have to go buy handcuffs probably at a toy store, this is adding up. I won't go to an adult toy store even though I think they have the fuzzy covered types there.

  7. I think I would go with "Late Night Escape" for Sarge's stage. But, I have also grown fond of TBD.

Oh, and we have some targets and prizes courtesy of Shooters Connection.

I got the box of stuff from Millennium Custom, and though it is cool, it didn't take up half of my drive way.

Your neighbors must be talking about you with all the deliveries you have been getting.
