  1. If your powder charges are consistent then the OAL Being is likely culprit. with SWC bullets you need to use a bullet seater plug with a flat end not the one with a round cup for the round nose bullets, with the right seater plug your OAL's should be with in .001-.002 another thing to check is make sure your bullest are not setting back when chambered take measurement of the oal and chamber the round from a magazine a few times and then re-measure the oal it should be the same length if not the bullets are being set back and that is bad too.

  2. I don't know the IDPA rules but that is a great gun for USPSA production and you can also shoot limited and L-10 with it as well. lots of people will say you cant shoot limited minor and be successful and that may be true at the higher levels but for me I shoot for fun and thats all that matters.

  3. I Don't have a 38 super open gun but I have seen many 357 sig loads listed in that charge range or higher and I believe the loaded case capacity is similar so it should fit in the case I just don't know how the comp would work or if all the powder will be burned.

  4. If I had your brass situation I would start with the 40 and get a 10mm barrel for it. they only come with 1 mag so I would buy 10mm mags for any extras mine all feed 40 just fine both long and short OAL's. the barrels sometimes take a while to get so this way you can shoot it with the 40 you have right away. for the 10mm if you are loading full power loads I would get strongest recoil spring Wolff makes for the long slide guns (the matches have a longer spring than the standard guns) Also I would get A Henning cone fit guide rod and use a 1911 recoil buffer. I have shot full power 10mm out of my match and it will throw the brass into the next zip code even with a 22lb recoil spring so keep that in mind.

  5. 5 with only Revo to go. I don't have any speed loaders but I should be able to make D without them! Let me see I got that 2" tarus and a 5" S&W oooh so difficult to choose.

the 2" Taurus could be fun I shot a classifier with a 3" 5 shot 44 special it sure made El-Prez interesting 1,2,3,4,5,reload,1,reload,1,2,3,4,5,reload,1

  6. I believe 10.4.3 applies and the DQ is correct. If the hammer had followed and there was no discharge then 5.7.1 would apply but there was a discharge so the DQ is correct the only exception to this is 10.4.3.1 a detonation but the definition of a detonation is round goes off from no action of the firing pin and the bullet dose not travel through the barrel both of these happened so the discharge was not a detonation.

  7. the extractor modification is not mandatory for the gun to run on supercomp brass, but is a good insurance and only takes a few minutes with a file and a roll pin punch to accomplish. Henning has instructions on how to do it posted on his sight.

  8. If you are going to play with smaller mags you baby eagle mags are a good starting point they are the same as small frame tanfoglio mags and henning makes bases for them and with the base and follower I get 23 reloadable no problem. I have read where some have made spacers and glued them to the outside of the mags to make them work in the larger mag well

    Good luck

  9. yep P-9 = small frame tanfoglio so parts are no problem and Henning is the man to get them from most of the parts are interchangeable from large to small frame guns and the ones that aren't Henning lists as such on his site.
