  1. Yeah, I filed a bit on my original and made it worse. I thought the top of the feedlips were getting jammed. Nope. I think the magazine is seated too deeply allowing the mag to jam on the front of the uplula on the down stroke. I think adding material to the uplula would work but how to do that. As an old guy I would just like one that works. Not my cobbled up abortion.

  2. I have been using an uplula for 10 years worked on everything I have including the .40 STI magazines. Converted to 9mm with new STI 9mm mags and the darn uplula gets hung up on the down stroke loading a round. I figured my uplula was worn some causing the problem. No. A brand new uplula has exactly the same problem.  So what will work in the STI 9mm doublestack mags?

  3. Does anyone make a cover for the railway optic. Scopecoat apparently no longer makes the 399574 anymore. Arredondo makes a one side cover and another makes a shade, maybe one side hard cover. Just looking for something to protect the sight from scratches and dust.

  4. Is it normal for the pull weight to be different when the trigger is pressed on the top part as opposed to the bottom part of the trigger?  My guess is it seems to gradually become heavier the lower I move my finger on the trigger. Range is about 2.5 at top to probably 8 or 9 at the bottom.

  5. So I have really liked the timer and have used it for several years. Last month I started Anderson's dry firing plan and have been using the timer 1-2 hours a day.  It has been agravating to go to the range or begin practice and have the timer shut off. After charging it shows full charge for an hour or so then 1/2 charge for some hours then no charge. No warning. An external battery would fix this problem but it seems the one they made is out of stock or discontinued everywhere since last year.

So does anyone know of a source of external battery for the 7000?

  6. Jeremy, I am if it's not broke don't fix it kind of guy.Probably got 15k to 20K on my 5 inch 40. About half with 9mm. I change mag springs the first nose in the feed ramp jam I get and that is about it. Broke a slide lock and replaced maybe 5K ago. JMO

  7. I also shoot coated bullets and prior to that shot a ton of hard cast lead. My coated show no residue of any kind.

However, if you have a spare 30 seconds, take a brass brush and wrap a few strands of Choir Boy around it until it fits snug in your barrel. You can also use that soft steel stuff they sell in gun shops. Use it dry. A few in and outs and no more nothing in your bore. It's magic and no chemicals, mess, or work really. YMMV
