  1. I have 8 pounds of N310 that I bought. I was using it in 9MM.

Now I am not shooting much 9MM and reloading none.

I am loading 40 for a new 6" STI with Schueman barrel.

I have read all the concerns for pressure build up and cracked cases.

I am looking for a load for both the 165 and 200 currently I am using zero's and would any help available.

Please include OAL and powder charges that you have experimented with or provide a good starting point.

Any and all recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

If there is any one in the Charlotte NC area that shoots N310 I would be willing to trade you a 4lb can or sell it for cheap.

I would be interested in N320 or 85.00 for the 4lb un-open can.

Thank you in advance for helping to end my frustration.

  2. In Charlotte NC they have to have a permit. If they get spotted by the police with out the permit they get free room and board for 5 days. So it is very rare that you see any one with a sign here. If you do they will not be there long. Love to see them out there and they like flash the sign at you and if you don't give money they flip you off and walk off. Saw one guy do that to a silver LTD one time did not realize that the well dressed man was a detective and wow almost freaked out when he stopped turned on the blue lights and gave him a free pair of stainless bracelets. Priceless as they say.

  3. Pooleman,

When you feel the need for a little diversity, check out Central Carolinas Shooting Club .

We offer IDPA and Steel Challenge on the first and second Saturdays of the month.

We're trying to get running with Scholastic Steel Challenge as soon as we can, and your son is eligible to compete on our team.

We practice Tuesday nights 6:30 - 8:30 at the Sportsman in Newport, just west of Rock Hill.

    John2A,

I'm going to try to make your match Sunday if you think there's room for an old, slow guy.....

Come on up there is always room. We old slow guys got to stick together.

  4. Hey Pooleman,

This Sunday we will have a match at Statesville. We will need some extra help setting up stages. Most of our guys that set up stages are going to be at the nationals. I have the diagrams all printed up so if you are interested in setting a stage all by yourself we would love the help and would assist in any way possible. If you are interested please drop me a PM and I can give you more details.

Glad that you got hooked up with the group there. They are all good guys even Paul once you get to know him :surprise:

If there is anything that I can do to help you along please don't hesitate to ask.

    Thanks,

    John Lovell

  5. Jack and Linda,

I really want to participate in this years match, however my daughter is due around that time.

If my wife is doing well I have been given permission to shoot this if I am not able to shoot then I would still like to donate to the cause.

It is very important one for me. I think all kids should have something to open receive for Christmas.

If there is a way to donate if you don't shoot would you please let me know.

    Thanks,

    John Lovell

  6. The other head scratcher here is using Major PF ammo for Production (assuming he's shooting Major in Limited). While it's not huge, why put yourself at a disadvantage?

When I wanted a Production gun that indexed similarly to my Limited and Open guns I went with an M&P...different grip inserts can make them pretty large if you have big hands. None of the Glocks feel the same to me....although the large frame guns are closer. R,

Yeah I am shooting Maj in Lim. But what I was going to do is leave my 650 set up Maj and 550 minor. Right now it is set up for 9mm but i am not shooting much 9 any loger. I did when I was shooting SS but 10 rounds was not worth the penalty for shooting minor against everyone else shooting Maj.

  7. Ok well I have scrapped the idea of shooting the G20 in production.

I don't know what it is but I am not really fond of the M&P, or XD.

I bought a 35 from a local shooter and it is a fine gun, only bad thing and I did not realize it before I bought it but he stippled the underneath of the trigger gaurd Why I don't know so now it is illegal for Prod. But for what I paid still not a bad deal.

might get another 35 and use it as prod. Saw one in a local shop for 550.00. Not too bad I guess since I was seeing them at 649.00 a couple months ago. Thanks for all the input from everyone.

    John

  8. Dang, I did not even think about changing the barrel being production illegal.

thanks for bringing that up. I will have to do some checking on that point.

Thanks Scott, I might just take you up on that if this goes the way I am hoping.

    Thanks all.

    John

  9. OK got a good one.

At a local store today, largest in Charlotte, NC. Asked the "smith" there if I could run a longer loaded 40 in one of the 10MM glocks.

He said "Why would you want to load a 40 Long? I mean if there was any pereformance gained by that don't you think the major ammo manufacturers would have that?"

I said ever heard of Atlanta Arms? They have a 40L major load.

"Nope can't say that I have. Are they in GA?"

    Left as quickly as possible.

  10. I am thinking of shooting some production later this year. I have not found a small framed gun that I like as much as my STI.

My question is can I use the same loads that I do in my limited gun loaded to 1.125 in the 10MM Glock large framed gun.

I got to handle one at my local gun store and posed this question to their "smith" and he had no idea why any one would load a 40 long.

    Just a theory.

    Thanks,

    John

  11. I hate being the neighborhood babysitter because the parents are to lazy to watch their own children. :angry2:

Amen - neighbors kids treat my garage like their own personal play ground.

Started keeping the door just cracked not all the way opened.

  12. I hate Chase as well. We had a joint card with higher than some and lower than others balances.

We set up the on line bill pay portion.

Made payments for year and a half no issues.

They then make a change to the process and you have to click on the last screen acknowledging payment.

Well missed that one two months ago and blam got hit with late fees, jumped interest 9.95% from where it was.

Called them and the lady was nasty as all get out. I told her that they can see when I logged in they can see that account was accessed for payment so why is she now telling me that I had no intention to pay. Any way I pay the balance get the card current and all is good right nope - will not budge on the interest rate what so ever. So went to the bank this AM and now have a Home equity loan for the pay off amount with an interest rate of 4.5% for 2 years and done. Now why did I not do this before. Now the next time I talk to some one at Chase it will to tell them where they can put the canceled and closed CC.

  13. I like the Plantronics. I have had it for about 3 months and it really does what it says it will do. The one thing that I really like about it is the feature that you can check the battery life and when you are in the 10 -20 minutes of battery life you get a verbal warning about low power. Will freak you out big time first time you hear it but really worth the $$$ I think.

  14. I really like the CED back pack but would like to see the following improvememts.

    1) leave out the stool. I know it is meant for the pack to sit on in the event of bad weather etc but come on how many times has it been used for that. I have removed mine and put my small camel back there.

    2) I would love to see in the outside pocket 2 sets of 6 mag holders. I carry a Glock 35 and STI and it would be great to have both mags with me just in case.

    3) Ammo holder at bottom tall enough for 4 ammo boxes 2 X 2

    4) I would love to see it come with 2 of the CED gun rugs instead of the stool.

    5) one pocket that would be big enough for at least one set of shooting glasses, at least one lense and ear plugs.

    6) One pocket big enough for a timer, block size and one for muffs.

    7) a thin plastic tackle box that could hold tools, oil etc.

If that would happen I would buy another one even though I just bought a brand new one.
