  1. Ok I have a crazy idea in making my P09 CO into an open minor gun just for giggles. I see that CZ custom has a threaded barrel, Springer Precision makes a comp and extended base pads. Any one think I am crazy for thinking about this? I think it would be a blast to shoot, especially in a pro-am.

Oh and due to hand issues I can't shoot a major PF any longer just takes way to long to recover. Plus not looking to take on Chris Tilly any time soon.

  2. I think I've changed my mind and I'll be going with the FF3

Hope this is not too late to stop you. I have a FF3 on mu P-09 and it is now on my Turkey. I hated the shape of the lens, the dust cover the automatic setting. Just be warned that if you have it in auto mode it will turn off 80 % of the time after the second or third stage.

I just installed a doctor sight and have fired 300 rounds through it. it is freakin awesome. I was ready to scrap the whole idea of CO but with this sight I feel I can start to get better instead of worrying about equipment issues.

    My .02,

  3. Shot my first two matches over the weekend. It was a craptastic experience. In both matches I zeroed a stage. however, I have learned 2 things this weekend, this is not open lite! I have a decent trigger on my P09 but it for sure is not near a 2011. Second learning curve is a 3MOA dot is not really bright or big enough for outside shooting. Inside it is awesome, but for the outdoor bright light, I was loosing it and had a hard time with target transitions. I did however figure out that if I saw a target in the "viewfinder" and it was less than 5 yards I could blast away at it. Oh and the texas star was a lot of fun...... So now I am regrouping on my site, currently a Burris FFIII I really like it just wish I had gotten the 8 MOA. I am now leaning toward the C-more RTS2 or STS2 any one out there have any experience with these. I know some here like the Docter, but I have read some not so great things about them...

    Thanks,

    John

Both my wife and I both shoot Doctor Sights and love them. We ahve not had an issue. Always on, we shoot both day and night matches and it is great for both.

Are both running larger dots? 6-8 MOA or a smaller 3-4MOA?

  5. For those that are not running federal primers but would want a better trigger on the P09 what would you suggest? I don't load and I either shoot AA or Freedom Munition.

Any guidance on where to start?

  6. It is with great sorrow that I post this. I lost my best friend, advisor and general good guy on January 14.

I will miss my Dad terribly but at least he got to meet his first Grand Daughter and spend some time with her before he got sick.

    Thank you,

    John Lovell.

  7. Most important thing is to get to a dentist and have them check over your teeth and gums and get all the crap out inbetween them.

You would be surprised by how much crap they will dig out of there. I have not been able to quit for longer than a month or so but each time I have quit I have gone to the dentist and had them pick out all that left over crap. Congrats on quiting and keep it up.
