Guys, you seriously will have better luck if you contact the uspsa tech support directly. I somehow doubt they are monitoring this forum.
I did email them and am waiting for a reply. I was just letting the guy know that he wasn't alone.

If it were an answer, then why is it still a problem?

Just tried to upload results to USPSA from a match at the beginning of Sept and got an "ERROR: INSERT INTO results_matches........".
Tried to upload the webfile generated from version 1.682 (5) of Practiscore.
Wonder if anyone else has run into this problem? Going to contact USPSA tomorrow about this issue.
I get the same error as you. I was hoping to find some answers on here.

I haven't broken down my 1301 from the match this past weekend, but I think something broke. On the 10th and final stage of the Atlanta 3-Gun Club Championships the gun just decided it didn't want to run anymore. I was very lucky to have gotten a favorable ruling by the RO that I could use somebody else's shotgun. Otherwise I would have gotten 180+ seconds of penalties since it was the Jungle Run stage.
Well, take a look and be sure to report back.

I use a Briley +5 without a clamp. The extension extends probably 2-3" past the end of my Carlson extended chokes.
If I remember, I can try to load some 3" shells in my factory magazine to see what I get. I think I have some 3" pheasant loads laying around somewhere.

Thanks
Dad could not tell if the sight was screw in or not. Only 24 rounds fired on this shotgun it has Jeff's work done too it.
I lost my mid bead on my backup on the first day
You can backorder at Brownells:

one week before RM3G and I found my front sight sideways and lose on my main 1301 . Is this a easy fix? THANKS
A little blue loctite. No worries. I'd put it on your bolt release screw and mid bead as well while you're at it.

I use the Briley +6. No clamp.

So I picked up my 1301 last night and put the Nordic +5 magazine extension on. The shotgun came with two of the black "plugs" to limit capacity. I don't need (want) to use either of those, correct? This is my first semi-auto shotgun, so I just want to be sure.
If it is only used in matches, then you won't want it. Those plugs would be for waterfowl hunting. Unless there is some restriction in certain states or Canada that you need them?

FYI, Beretta is running a 25% off sitewide at their online store.
So right now they are only 75% over priced on just about everything?
oscarmike, that's kinda what I was wondering if it was possible. My question I guess would be, is there a scenario where you can shorten the spring enough with out compromising the feeding, where you would get almost a 11th round but not quite and successfully ghost load through the port like I was accidentally doing it. Guess for the price of a spring I could experiment after I get my + 5.
I am pretty sure if you have a round in the chamber and a round on the lifter and a round in the tube when you pull the trigger you are going to have a nice double feed that is going to be a huge pain in the ass to fix while on the clock. I could be wrong though...
+1. I agree. I'll test to be sure, but I think you're right.

I am pretty new to shotguns. Bought my 24" on saturday. Been practicing loading and shouldering the gun. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. My 870 has the ghost ring on it, so for the most part i have always aimed it like a rifle. I assume with the mid bead you line up the mid bead with the front fiber? When i shoulder mine, most of the time the mid bead is just below the front fiber. Does this mean i need to use the other shim? Or should i just go shoot it first and see if poa=poi and then change it if it isn't?
My release bolt was pretty loose on mine. Just put some loc tite on it. My bolt handle is tight enough i can't get it off by hand and can't seem to unscrew the mid bead by hand either. So hopefully mine are good.
I didn't see anyone answer your initial questions, so I'll try to do that as best as I can.
I only use the mid bead when shooting slugs. For it to shoot POA/POI for me, I need the beads to line up with another. So the brass bead covers up the fiber optic. It sounds like the far majority of people shoot slugs high with this shotgun right out of the box and experience exactly as you experience, the fiber optic "sitting" on top of the mid bead. I was in the same boat. I would shoot it at 50 yards to verify, but my guess is that you'll want to change out your drop ship. The 65 has seemed to do the trick for myself and most everyone here.
I'm curious about your comment about your bolt handle not coming off by hand. Are you pulling straight out on it to see if it will come out? The bolt and carrier are keyed so that in their relaxed positions, they prevent the bolt from coming out. You have to manually push the bolt in ~about half way for the holes to align before the bolt will come out. Please see your user's manual.

Finding a spare may be tough. If you wanted, you could buy another one from Brownells. I think they are around $41. You could send that straight to c- rums or whoever and not need to be without. Just a thought but I realize it's more expensive
They are on back order. I would be happy to buy one and do that but they don't have any. I would even be willing to buy someones spare that had done that and then thy could buy it back in a couple of weeks I just want to get this done without losing a couple weeks of practice before the Freedom Munitions match in 2 weeks or so
Paul, I can help you out. PM me your email address.

Today was my first opportunity to shoot slugs through my new 1301. Is POI 3-4" high @ 25 yards about right for the factory choke? Windage was perfect at that distance.
I experienced this too.....High and to the right was my POI....I am retesting just to make sure the shooter error is negligent....
Same here. I changed the drop shim to the 65 on both my Berettas. POA = POI for me now.

I had someone ask me if I could take pictures of my A400 and my 1301 side by side to see the differences. So I thought I'd share what I found:
I took a bunch of pictures and put them in an imageshack folder. Let me know if you have any issues viewing it. In all of the pictures, the A400 is the one on top.
https://imageshack.com/a/mcSq/1
The only differences I can tell:
- End of magazine is different to accomodate the b-lok feature of the A400.
- A400 stock is longer
- 1301 has a higher raised rib
- 1301 has the mid bead
- A400 obviously has the kick-off
- A400 can shoot 3-1/2s
Similarities:
- Just about everything
- gas system, barrel extension, receiver, bolt carrier group
Can someone confirm the BCG commonality? Snapped my charging handle off going into a dump barrel this weekend and need a new one. Preferably one that isn't cast and fragile.
Nice gun, running reasonably well...not as rugged as I expect (which means I tend to replace parts and have spares as I break them).
I can swap charging handles when I get back, but I'm 99.9% sure they are interchangeable. Briley makes a replaceable charging handle that should be a lot more durable.

I lube everywhere ropsitos has stated, as well as the exterior of the magazine tube under the handguard. I believe Trapr had a post about this showing burnt tubes from lack of lube? Anyway, I run mine fairly wet (as I did my M2) and I have yet to have any issue at all. It sounds very odd that you'd experience problems running wet but then none when running dry.

How long have you ran it and how many rounds through it?
I got mine in March. I'm somewhere between 500-1000 rounds so far.

Is anyone using a good recoil pad for the 1301? I have a limbsaver slip on (medium) that works great, but it slips around quite a bit and I am constantly adjusting it.
Has anyone tried to fit a limbsaver grind to fit (or something similar) with any success?
I blasted about 300 clays this weekend with my 21" and IM choke. What great fun!
Thanks!
Does it feel like it kicks hard enough to need more padding? I'm pretty happy with the factory pad.

When I was shopping for my A400 Xtreme, I could definitely feel a difference between the 26" and 28". The 28" felt more balanced and had a natural swing to it.
I did not get the chance to do this same comparison when I bought my 1301. I already had a +6" extension. So I went with the 24" to get the muzzle closer to the end of the extension.

Cheapest I have found is 973 from grab a gun. Anyone get theirs new cheaper than that? still hoping to find a nice used one locally. listed the jm pro on some local sites today.
That's a great price. I'd jump on it.

Ordered 3/7. Shipped 4/11.

Thanks, now you made me look and confirm, yet again, that my carrier is still on backorder at Brownells. LOL Looks nice.

I called all over the US today looking for a few carriers (Brownells, Cole's, Midwest and Beretta USA). I turned up nothing
Really? I just back ordered one from Brownells and it came in last week.

Anyone have a picture of a 1301 carrier that has been welded by C-rums?

Springs are cheap. Chop away.
