Hi Maize,
We are super stoked to hear that you will be able to join us for the clinic Friday! As Mark said, we will be starting at 3:00PM and going till ? We will be going over several shooting and reloading skills and drills and then walking some of the stages for the match to do stage breakdown and planning.

Cameon, we are more than happy that we can help out! We are looking forward to getting to shoot with you too. One of the biggest advantages will be getting to shoot with Janna Reeves, she is one of the fastest climbing stars of 3-gun right now and being a female has the best insights on how to progress as a lady shooter. It turns out there are a few things about competitive shooting that us guys would never think of, and they make a big difference! We look forward to seeing you out there!
Also, any other ladies that will be shooting the match, Janna will be doing the clinics as well so come on out Friday to meet her and learn some great stuff!

Just got screwed by the Redmond, OR TSA and have to spend the entire day here now. Apparently they are the only ones in the country that feel the need to open my cases but aren't smart enough to find me in the worlds smallest airport. So I'm gonna have to bail on the ProAm damnit. Just not enough time to get my work done and get ready to leave in 3 days.
Good luck to whomever gets my spot!

Well now Leftygirl I have considered " what it takes to be an athlete". From days gone by I have played PRCA Rodeo, skied on the Chevy professional bump skiing tour, raced open class motocross and supercross, as well as SCORE off road racing and desert racing in open class bikes. This last weekend I was just 3 1/2 points behind a 35 year old 18 Bravo who is a he'll of a shooter.
I do know what it takes to be an athlete! What I don't like is a part of "the course" that doesn't test the skill set that the sport tests. Running 50 yards to shoot is akin to having a big old long groomed straight away in the middle of a mogul field, or a big long paved flat straight road in the middle of a motocross track. Once your bike is RPMed out, it is just sitting on a bike...there is no skill test in it. If you are going to make me run, don't make it just for running sake. Give me something to shoot at! Could you imagine a 8 second Bull ride, where in the middle they give the Bull a 30 second water and feed break while the rider is on it's back?. BORING! Also you have to look at reset, if it is killing the R.O.s and the squad to re-set it it is too much.
However, that same mogul field or 8 second bull ride would probably kill you now, Kurt!

Hey Pete, Ken and everyone who put on the match last weekend,
Thanks a ton for a fun finish to the Shot Show! It was a great match put on by an excellent group! Nice to see so many of my shooting friends out there and make some new ones.

We are also hoping that we can arrange to have another match at home in Minnesota sometime next summer.

Yes, its in a prismatic. Its probibally 3-4 years old.
It Looks like the Illuminated Duplex shown in this site
Very interesting. I had no idea they had done anything but the DCD and the Circle Plex for the Pris. Do you know what the sub-tensions are?

Well the first one is kinda bland, sorta sounds like an adult movie that got Disnyfied. The next two are pretty good, but that last one... I don't know!

HA True! I think we would need some other separators like mag length for AR and shotgun to actually pull the Limited title. Tac-Non-Mag just gets to be a mouthful. Maybe we need to have an online contest to coin the most fitting name for the division!

The DCD reticle is the one to use. The Circle Plex is too heavy.

Buy a A2 stock lower add a JP or Geissele trigger. Get a flat top upper add a Carbon Arms or Nordic barrel. Finish with a Troy or Clark forearm, then pick the break you like. You can easily stay under $1500. Two most important items on an AR, barrel and trigger.
Just to clarify a little; we at Carbon Arms do have a very nice carbon fiber hand guard and barrel nut for AR-10s, but we do not have an AR-10 barrel. Nordic doesn't have an AR-10 barrel either. I would definitely second the Fulton Armory suggestion.

As Kelly said earlier, there are some of us who are finding the Pris to be the ticket and others who are still being very successful with true irons. If you ask me, and I know no one actually did, but it all comes down to what you feel like practicing with. In my experience the Pris is every bit as fast as any red dot on close targets and very accurate on long shots, but that's with my eyes. As the warning labels all say; "Results will vary." The best thing you can do is try out as many options as you can and find the one that works for you.As for co-witnessing; why the heck would you want to complicate things that way for this game? Same goes for 45 offset dots. 1x is 1x wherever it is mounted on the rifle.
One last thing, Denise was right when she said that we Love getting new people in the Limited division. Whatever sight system you choose, please come play in our little sandbox! It's a total riot! Oh yah, don't forget facial hair is required for long term involvement in this division!
