  1. Cameon, That is awesome that you are working on your load and watching Janna's video. She is really good at making it very easy to understand and pick up quickly. I know she will be happy and able to help you a lot at the clinic. James The Noveske Shooting Team Carbon Arms Corp.
  2. Hi Maize, We are super stoked to hear that you will be able to join us for the clinic Friday! As Mark said, we will be starting at 3:00PM and going till ? We will be going over several shooting and reloading skills and drills and then walking some of the stages for the match to do stage breakdown and planning. We look forward to seeing you out there! James The Noveske Shooting Team Carbon Arms Corp.
  3. Cameon, we are more than happy that we can help out! We are looking forward to getting to shoot with you too. One of the biggest advantages will be getting to shoot with Janna Reeves, she is one of the fastest climbing stars of 3-gun right now and being a female has the best insights on how to progress as a lady shooter. It turns out there are a few things about competitive shooting that us guys would never think of, and they make a big difference! We look forward to seeing you out there! Also, any other ladies that will be shooting the match, Janna will be doing the clinics as well so come on out Friday to meet her and learn some great stuff! James The Noveske Shooting Team Carbon Arms Corp.
  4. However, that same mogul field or 8 second bull ride would probably kill you now, Kurt!
  5. Hey Pete, Ken and everyone who put on the match last weekend, Thanks a ton for a fun finish to the Shot Show! It was a great match put on by an excellent group! Nice to see so many of my shooting friends out there and make some new ones. I look forward to seeing you at the next ones! James
  6. Excellent! I can't wait, this is a great match. Apps on it's way; see you guys out there for round 3! James
  7. I'm really glad to hear this! I was hoping we hadn't seen the last of those. The first year was fun, the second was 10x better, I want to play some more! Thanks Guys!
  8. Yes, its in a prismatic. Its probibally 3-4 years old. It Looks like the Illuminated Duplex shown in this site http://www.outdoorsu...lattenedLgr.jpg Very interesting. I had no idea they had done anything but the DCD and the Circle Plex for the Pris. Do you know what the sub-tensions are?
  9. Here is the web-site for the range Denise. http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/recreation/wsrc/Pages/default.aspx It looks like and amazing facility. Hope that is what you were looking for.
  10. Well the first one is kinda bland, sorta sounds like an adult movie that got Disnyfied. The next two are pretty good, but that last one... I don't know! Keep that creative mind of your's churning there's bound to be some good ones out there!
  11. HA True! I think we would need some other separators like mag length for AR and shotgun to actually pull the Limited title. Tac-Non-Mag just gets to be a mouthful. Maybe we need to have an online contest to coin the most fitting name for the division!
  12. Non-mag, Limited; either way I agree Tac-Irons is not the right name.
  13. The DCD reticle is the one to use. The Circle Plex is too heavy.
  14. Very Cool! Thanks for the pics and post! I'm glad to hear things are working well; I need to get mine set up and start practicing as well. Good luck in Moscow and Pat let us know what you think! James
  15. Just to clarify a little; we at Carbon Arms do have a very nice carbon fiber hand guard and barrel nut for AR-10s, but we do not have an AR-10 barrel. Nordic doesn't have an AR-10 barrel either. I would definitely second the Fulton Armory suggestion.
  16. Hmm...high lady goes to... I suppose we could wave that facial hair requirment if there were some ladies that wanted to play too! It will be great to get both you and Kurt back next year Pat! Its going to be a great year! Thanks for the boost! I will definitly try to make all the 1x shooters proud in Vegas!
  17. I shoulda never got curious about dots, guess it's like that first hit of crack or something. ha ha ha. That is about the perfect analogy alright! This is the first I have seen of this string and I have to say, Thanks for the great chuckles! There are some great lines, and points in all of this. As Kelly said earlier, there are some of us who are finding the Pris to be the ticket and others who are still being very successful with true irons. If you ask me, and I know no one actually did, but it all comes down to what you feel like practicing with. In my experience the Pris is every bit as fast as any red dot on close targets and very accurate on long shots, but that's with my eyes. As the warning labels all say; "Results will vary." The best thing you can do is try out as many options as you can and find the one that works for you. As for co-witnessing; why the heck would you want to complicate things that way for this game? Same goes for 45 offset dots. 1x is 1x wherever it is mounted on the rifle. One last thing, Denise was right when she said that we Love getting new people in the Limited division. Whatever sight system you choose, please come play in our little sandbox! It's a total riot! Oh yah, don't forget facial hair is required for long term involvement in this division! James
