  1. I have been looking at the USPSA rules online and searching here and cannot figure out if speedloaders are legal for use in Multi-Gun limited (the class I plan to shoot). One other question while I am posting, when using a speedloader setup on a Rem. 1100 is it still possible to load the gun as normal?

I may be mistaken but "speed loaders" will put you in open. I think the rounds have to go in one at a time to be in limited.

    Look at Appendix D2

  2. I will run with my rifle it like I do my pistol. Hold it with my strong hand only, stock lays under my forarm. this gives leverage to keep the muzzle pointed down range and relatively horizontal. Now if there is limited space or a long way to go I may also flip the rifle around and carry it left handed.

Chances are I will be reloading the shot gun so there is I have no set way other than be concious of where the barrel is pointed which results in some strange upperbody twisting and side shuffle running.

I do this exactly. The rifle tips over on its side and I can pump my arms to go faster.

  3. Put an 83 out on sunday. This is going to be hard... I was thinking about it a little harder. I haven't even done anything as an A yet. Am I ready to be M? I hate to have the card and my skill level not be on par? Not that I'm going to sandbag anything, but being a Master and shooting like a master may be different.

I made M a little while back, and boy did I not feel ready for it---I thought that I could only consistently shoot A-level. (And occasionally B. :( )

Went to a couple of majors, however, (A3 and Nationals) and found out that indeed, I was ready.

If you practice classifiers to get good at classifiers and make M, that is one thing. But if you practice shooting and then on classifiers make M---then even if you don't feel like you shoot M-level all the time, you will still be shooting well enough to run with the M-folks.

You may not be winning :) but you'll be in the right crowd at the end of the match.

I have realized I can shoot nearly as fast and as accurate as local GM's. I just can't keep my head on long enough to be consistant. Another thing to work on.

  5. Cool idea! I did a side by side video too after seeing yours, came out pretty well I think.

    Thanks for sharing the idea!

That was a good video. I bet it took a long time to get the buzzer the same on all the stages like that.

I think there is something wrong with your gun. It looked like you had to take it apart to fix it about every 6 shots?? :P

  6. Here's another cool way to learn from videoing a couple different shooters. While the video images are not quite as clear as the "side by side" method, the outcome is still just as good.

I tried it that way on my first attempt as seen below. I couldn't figure out how to keep the videos from fading out at the start and finish and couldn't make the sound come through. Like I said I am not a genius with the compiano.

  7. Transitions, Transitions, Transitions. Another GM shooter that watched it said David is smooooth and I looked lazy on the transitions. I agree. I need to speed it up and take a shorter route between targets. Going right left right was not the best way.

The funny thing is I feel like I can drive a rifle like a corvette between targets but I think I get scared with a pistol.

  8. Where was this shot at?

I have been shooting at ARC and BOTW...this one I didn't recognize. Would love to find a third location to shoot..trying to get more trigger time

This was in Waco at Central Texas IPSC

  9. I recognized that stage and looked up the scores, you guys shot it twice as fast as i did. Good shooting.

Hehe. Yeah? I enjoyed that match.

I need to learn who's handles are who's on here. The only people that I know who they are is aushooter, ntaylor00, and alamoshooter.
