Bet it shoots.

Does anyone know of a really good CC class/coach in Albuquerque NM? Have a friend who needs some coaching/classes.
Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, JZ

Well, I'm stocked up on wsf and clays.
Though, I'm a little hesitant to load 147's with clays. I have in the past using load data from the grapevine. But not sure I want to anymore. So, gonna go with 3.7 gr of wsf @ 1.15" OAL and federal/sellier & bellot primers
How did you like this combination?

Glad I got 8 lbs for now. Ramshot Competition? Going to have a look at that.

Took a friend's boys to the range to burn some ammo. 400 rounds .22, 200 rounds .223, and 100 of .17hmr.
They were grinning the whole time.
Good stuff!

I shoot 1911s whenever I visit my father. He collects and shoots them. I can't shoot them as well as I shoot Glocks. Don't know why, but when I first shot a Glock practicing with a friend, it just fit me and I never looked back.
One day I will inherit a load of 1911s. Ho hum, it's the long guns and shotguns that will excite me as they have sentimental value. 1911s, that's trading stock!

Been looking to build up my components as I'm back shooting, and the ladies are expressing desires to shoot as well.I can't seem to locate any. Is it out of production?

Range time today, working on 2x2 with reloads, and the same from two positions and both r-l, and l-r. Reloads were smooth, and my accuracy is acceptable but not stellar. Need some work.
Next week, same drills at 15-20 yards.

I started going on to keep in touch with my family and friends who live far from me. As time has gone by it just seems like a place for folks to be rude and comment on things just to stir up an argument. No bueno for anything.

I just wish they had just made it a 10 round limit and gave us back the mag release for all firearms. Then 10 Rd mag changes would be okay, and while not the best, the rifles would be normal and no stupid button.

Like switching back to your old favorite pistol. It just feels natural.

Facebook. I just started dry firing again recently and stopped looking at it so much. I just feel better.

First time back dry fire in a year at least was about a month ago. Three to four times a week. First two were tough. Not gripping anymore and am I fat! (By my normal standards) Last week though, my transitions and reloads started to feel normal again. Like a part of my body and natural movement.
I knew I would never shoot a match again unless I could feel natural with a pistol in my hands again. Well, now I do. And I'm dry firing shotty as well.
Got some welding to do. Have to build some targets and clay holders.
Feels great!

Great Prairie Dog scope! put it on a 22-250!
Just found another and a BSA Sweet17 for my .17HMR too. Looks like I have a bit of zeroing next month.

Looks like it will go on my budget gun Remington 770 30-06. Should do nicely for a budget hunter that should do the job in a pinch.

Looking through a box of gear given to me, come across a brand new Bushnell Elite 10x40 fixed power scope with mil dot reticle and locking turrets.
Who uses a fixed power scope and why?

Which one?

Red oak if possible. Knotty pine never really looks good.
TIG or MIG ?

Even worse: placed order November 15 and wasn't told it was out of stock until I called two weeks later to find out where my order was!
This drives me really nuts. Need the hair pulling emoticon for this one!

All right, maybe I don't need mags. I have my PRIs and after Larry's post I dug into my BIN of .223/556 magazines and lo and behold I can run certain magazines just downloaded. New 25rd Brownells ran fine. Don't think I will order more than three new mags now and play with these for now. Thanks.

Never hold your breath when you are aiming. It actually increases your pulse slightly, rather exhale slowly relaxing as you increase trigger pressure. Your shot will break with less jerk and hits should improve. Increase trigger pressure as you relax and exhale. Remember to breath as you move through your stage too. Breathing and accurate rifle fire are integral.

When you had issues Larry, was it a follower binding thing, magazine swell, feed lips issue?

In Norway too we've had rifle shooters attend pistol matches, but with pistol caliber rifles only. They are scored as a separate rifle match however. I see your point, I'm just worried that too many divisions water out the sport, but it would be cool to see an evaluation. As for a pure rifle match, I think a pistol caliber is competitive on short range, but I see that it would lack at the longer distance (over 200 m?).Whats the problem of the IPSC target? Why do you americans keep holding on the the metric stuff, hehe?
The upper A/B zones are added incentives to risk, whose elimination for the sake of sanitizing the sport is not necessary at this time.
How do you practice front sight discipline?

A friend of mine who already had speed, he is an M in most divisions, says he has gained some speed recently by shooting as fast as his sights will allow.
After reading this thread, I think I understand what that means.
