  1. Thank You. I will start there with a 115 grn and load up some with a 124 grn FMJ and see where that is also.
  2. I got a 38 super conversion to make my open pistol into limited for steel and some other matches. Does anyone have a good 38 Super minor load? I am using 7.5 of IMR 7625 and a 124 FMJ bullet to make major at 171 PF. I would like to use the same powder and bullet or 115 FMJ, I just don't know how much to bring back the powder. I don't have a crono so I want a good place to start so I don't have to borrow one many times. Thanks
  3. I use 7.5 and I believe the power factor was 171. I just chrono'd at Mile High.
  4. I was wondering if anybody has a good minor load for a 38 Super limited. I'm using IMR 7625 with a 124 FMJ for my major loads in my open gun and wanted to use the same for the minor loads in limited, I just don't know how much to powder I should cut back. I could load up a lot of different loads and chrono them but I don't have one and don't want to borrower one multiple times. I just want a place to start. Thanks for any input.
  5. Hello, I had the same problem with my 38 super gold team. I found another guy (coolsf) that had this problem also and he sent me this and it has worked great for my gun: On each side of the mag toward the top, there is a place caving in. Get a chisel (round the nose so it won;t be sharp) hammer the chisel to make the place cave in a bit more. Do it gradually so that you won't break the tube. Your goal is to line up the 2nd and 3rd ammo line up straight as the 1st one. You might loose the ablility to feed one more ammo but getting it works is more important. You can even put a stronger recoil spring 11lbs if needed. If you look at the big stick the rounds are lined up and I have never had a problem with it. I also only made the second round almost line up with the first so it pushed up straighter. I did this with all of my mags and it worked great. Good luck and hope this helps. if you have questionlet me know. I will try to post pics later. Brandon
  6. Thanks Leo (1st C open), It was fun and great to see everybody out there.
  7. Henning took home first in the shoot offs
  8. Thanks. When the match started I was calm and was going one for one and only concentrating on my poppers, but toward the end I was more aware of the other shooters and was starting to take extra shots. Just going to have to practice
  9. Thank you for the advice. I don't know if I will have a chance anytime soon to try this but I will have a lot of chances in June at Handgunner. There should be some real good shoot-offs that I can learn from.
  10. Thanks, I guess I will just have to keep shooting and take it one step at a time. My avatar was compressed and I tried editing it again and lost it so it should be ok now. This was the RM 300. It was the first time I every shot it. It was a blast minus the wind. I was fun shooting the shoot offs against Henning seeing I got my gun from him and he has done the work on it.
  11. I just shot a 79 person shoot off and the farther along I got the more I would shake. I have only been shooting since September of '07 so I am fairly new. Are there any tips people have on controlling the nerves or will I always have them?
