Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  2. What type of business? Risky business attire....
  3. I hope there is a variation in the rules for different calipers. I just measured my Barret Factory 6.8 SPC 30 round magazines and they are a solid 8" in length....
  4. Practice is cheating and using you sites is considered "bad form" old boy
  5. Yes with a the S**t going on politically no one has any ammo. I was lucky in that I stocked up a little in the fall so I wouldn't have to scramble finding ammo in the spring. Unfortunately with the run on everything over the last few months there is none to be found. (even 22LR is sold out here!) I have enough rifle ammo for 4 major 3 Gun matches after that I'm out. So.... if they have some 6.8 SPC to order I will be taking advantage of it for certain.
  6. Is there any idea on when registration is for the match at the range? I'm just setting up to book my room and I need to know a rough idea on the schedule I see the match date is 19 - 21 but is the registration on the 18th during the RO match? And any idea on when we will finish on the 21st just trying to figure out if I need the room for that night or not. Thanks
  7. Christmas came early, I just received my confirmation, off to Texas I go!
  8. I sent my application in early November and contacted the website registration support over a week ago and still have not revived any confirmation on my entry. I realize with Christmas bearing down things will slow down but I'd still like to confirm they've received it.
  9. I've got a M223 BDC and yes the Turrets locks can get bumped and move your settings. I got severely burned at a major 3 gun match last year. My solution consisted of using small plastic radiator clamps to block the Turret locks so they can't be bumped. It cost me almost 50 cents lol. Other than that the scope is really good and clear. Of course if I had LOTS of money I buy a higher end Leupold scope... but I'm married and like to stay that way.
  10. Your right the 6.8 has a little more push than 223 and with the Non Talon comp I have has reduced it to no difference (that I can tell. I like the 45 degree off sets but I noticed someone makes a 10 degree off set and I'd like to give them a try. Ammo is the biggest pain, the .223 / 5.56 folks can get surplus and discount bulk for 1/2 the price I have to pay for 6.8 Hornady but compared to comparable quality factory ammo the cost is about 25 to 30% more. I started buy from Barrett because they charge $30 for a 30 round box and it matches the ballistics of the Hornady that cost me $22 to $24 for 20 rounds.
  11. I use a 2 - 8 Scope on my REC7 (in 6.8) and have the off set Irons for the really close targets The 4x will be tough for close targets but you will survive. As for recoil try a "Non Talon" Super comp and there will be no recoil (it feel like a .22LR) Ammo, Barrett's is the best for price and it works out to are $15 per 100 more than it costs to reload. (I know brass is the biggest cost/ pain) As for competitiveness don't worry about it like any sport its the person then the tool. I watched guys with $500 AR's kick but and guys with $3000 AR who couldn't have hit the ground if they dropped it.. just have fun and get some experience.
  12. Can you break these down by stages with options, so I will not have to cause my head to hurt????? ok here we go Stage Rifle Pistol Shot Slug 1...........16.....16...... 7 ..... 0 2.............6.....28 ... 18 ..... 0 3...........24.....27 ... 10 ..... 2 4...........16.....22 ... 12 ..... 8 5...........34.....36 ... 14 ..... 2 6...........15.....15 ... 15 ..... 0 7...........17.....19 ..... 8 ..... 1 8...........27.....29 ..... 7 ..... 2 9.............6.....11 .... 12 .... 1 Total .. 161...203 .. 103 . 16 Oh and Stage 6 says 2011 FNH USA 3 Gun (should be 2012) NOW my Fingers and head hurts
  13. So it look like to cover all variations of shooting the stages. 161 Rifle 205 Pistol 103 Shot 16 Slugs And my head now hurts from trying to figure that out
  14. Hi Folks I've been running Palm Scoring at my club now for a couple of months now and I've been running into a few problems. We run IPSC matches (we are in Canada) every Tuesday (4 per month) and a USPSA match when ever we have an extra Tuesday. I've run into a few issues with EZ Win. 1/ when someone is shooting Production for some reason I have to manually select "Minor" for their power factor. 2/ IPSC changed their rules (again) and I was wondering if there is going to be an update removing "Modified" division and adding "Classic" (1911) division. 3/ This is the big one. I have over 200 people in my database who may or may not shoot our match. We tend to get around 30-40 each week but not always the same people. If we are running an USPSA match I can import a competitor list and get my match up in a few minutes. If I'm running a IPSC match I have to manually select and enter 200+ people. Is there some way to get them entered faster (re easier)? What I'd like to see is a button that would add all from Database into match.
  15. Can't wait. I won a free entry at last years match! And its going to be warmer too
