  1. Look fine except first leave Alaska cause you guys shoot 1/2 of the season we do and we stink, like 5 months of no shooting. ;)

im actually transferring back to montana in about a month. but i shoot year round up here. im a range officer at our local indoor range.

  2. the first one is a 1911 i just bought. shooting single stack.

some of them are with a glock 17.

    im a B class in prodcution .

in idpa im a master in ssp and esp, just getting into the 1911 now that i have a good one.

my hits are generally pretty good. probably 90% ish. i rarely drop c and very very rarely a d. pretty good at calling my hits so i take make up shots if nessecary.

  3. I'm using an STI Spartan in .45 (of course) with an STI extended mag release, and a S & A magwell. Everything else is pretty much stock, although I did put an ISMI 10 pound recoil spring in it.

i run the same set up except i put a dawson front sight and used a wilson magwell instead.

all my holsters and carriers are bladetech tho.

  4. i love my eotech but some times it doesnt reach out far enough.

and ive heard that using the magnifier is legal for tactical. and ive read the interpretation of the rules but it doesnt say if i can use it snapped to the side or not.

to me its the same as using a variable power optic.

i heard from one person.... dont really trust there word.... that you can use it as long as you never move it to the side or take it completely off.

any one have the particulars on this.

  5. In a rifle match, where can i carry my spare mags ? Only on the belt, anywhere that it won't get in my way, shirt/vest pocket ? I'm kind new at rifle matches and have been able to get through a stage with only one mag so far.

    Gene

Wilderness and 3 gun gear make some great ones.

i use a bladetech i mounted horizontally on the center of my back. depending on cof ill put a 40 or a 30 in it.

  6. Welcome!

It sounds like you're well on your way to becoming a great shooter. Keep your eyes sharp, and your mind focused ..... and of course keep lurking here and you'll learn all kinds of great stuff. :)

i had a lot of really good coaches. Knight of Light is my good buddie and i shoot twice a week with a 5 gun Master. so i get a lot of free critisim

  7. Been lurking here for awhile. never found a need to post cause all my questions were already answered.

Ive been competeing in IDPA & USPSA for about 1.5 years and most recently uspsa 3 gun.

im a Bclass shooter in production but recently have moved over to Single Stack and have no idea were i stand there.

in IDPA ive made master in SSP and ESP, only expert in CDP but i just got the gun 2 months ago.
