  1. There is a change proposal send to the ICORE BOD for a Retro Division. Retro is defined as :

    A. 6 shot gun

    B. speed loader charged

A barrel length was not stated so many gun could be used with speed loader, i.e. a 625 shooting 45 auto rim and speed loader would be as would be a 41 mag, 44 special or 44 mag with speed loader.

The BOD of ICORE would not vote on the Retro division tonight, so we still do not have a retro division. The Prez wants to rewrite the rule(which means that it won't happen).

  3. That's what I thought, too. While I applaud the ICORE rulebook for its brevity, it does leave a few things to interpretation.

    H.

I think that same situation came up at the IRC. I think it was Mike Homm??? He fire an extra shot and got the extra hit then the RO added an extra procedural for not following the stage instructions, IIRC.

Dean Gomez was there; maybe he can shed some light on how it turned out. My memory has gone to hell.

If I remember right Cliff is right on with the penalties given to Mike. Mike was only to fire one round each at each target and he fired 2 at the first which is extra shot, extra hit and a procedural for shooting the target out of order. On his next string if he had not fired another shot at the target he would have not had the extra shot or extra hit and would have been only given a procedural for shooting the target out of sequence. I hope that makes sense.

Not quit right Dean. If Mike had miss the targat(still must shoot a shot at the target but misses it) he would get the extra shot in the fisrt string.

  4. Hi everyone,

I am considering putting together a program to increase the number of revolver shooters in the action shooting sports. I think its wonderful to see people dusting off their old single stacks to shoot them from the club level all the way up to national championships and I would love to see the same for revolver. If you wouldn't mind chiming in with your answers to the following:

    1. What sports do you shoot your revolver in (USPSA, ICORE, IDPA, Steel, NRA, etc.)?

    2. How often do you shoot revolver at the club level?

    3. How many majors do you shoot each year (state/regional/areas)? And with a revolver?

    4. Do you shoot a national championship with your revolver and if so which one(s)?

    5. Would you consider crossing over to other shooting sports with your revolver? If so, which ones and why?

    6. Why do you like to compete in the revolver divisions?

    7. If you don't shoot revolver in matches, are you interested in giving it a try - why or why not?

    Thanks so much!

    Julie

    Hi Julie

    5. Maybe USPSA if they had am open revolver division.

    6. I enjoy shooting with revolver shooter.

Looking forward to meeting you this week end at the Southern regional.

  5. I am now an official, card carrying member of ICORE, number OK2128. I had a couple of classifiers sent in as "Pending" before I got my number, but they are not in listed in the ICORE web site. Will they be added later, or should I just forget about them? Thanks, Javier

I'm sure that RonW has your classifiers in a pending folder but, I will check with tonight. If He still has your claaaifiers (you eed four to classify), he will post them soon.

  6. If you need to ship ammo, you can ship it to me. I'm going up on Tuesday before the match, will be running the classifier match on Wednesday and working in the stat shack. Let me know by e-mail and I will send my address.

  7. I believe we will be looking at a squad yourself scenario.

Actually I have the squad schedule but not the squad lists, Vic has the control of that and they are divided in groups around 18 shooters.

It is all figured out on time factors and such to get all the stages completed, our biggest problem now may be weather.

Shooters will get squad numbers and such at check in first thing.

What time does check in start?

  8. I was just wondering if anyone was going to the Western States Icore Match( Lucky Bastard Match),In Arizona at Rio Salado this Sunday?

There are six or sever of us for the LA area going over to Mesa. I think the match is full, but check with Vic P.

  9. I'll be there as well as LITTLE FFL.

Come on Cliff, Carmmoney, & Dave

This is a great match weather permitting

I will be rusty as I will be just getting back from SHOT show. two days in a car is heck let alone working the show and gambling all night :surprise:

    Hi fl

Will you be going to the Southern Regional?

I'll be flying down for the third year.

    Rich

  10. Just back from Perth Australia where 80 revolver shooters shot 17 stages with 350+ rounds. 7 stages on Saturday, 7 stages on Sunday and 3 stages Monday morning, shoot off Monday. Monday evening was Dinner and Awards and prize table. This was a very well ran match and great fun with some wonderful people and new friends. If you ever get the chance to go down under for the Australian Regional, you will have a great time and meet some great people and make some new friends.
