Thanks for the link.
Now it's just a matter of getting a Gen1 slide release part.
Any leads on who would be the go to for S&W parts?

I recently purchased a used S&W M&P Full Size M2 5" 9mm that came with an additional Performance Center M1 upper.
The M1 upper is cut for a RMR so it might be useful as I have spare red dots
The problem is that with the M1 upper installed you can't slingshot the slide. The slide must be released by thumbing the slide release.
I have small hands so if I use the M1 upper conversion in competition I would have difficulty dropping the slide.
Is there a fix to convert the M1 slide to be able to slingshot? -
I'm going to have to look up the Foxtrot Mike video. Would like to have other options

I've used the JP springs and it has made a measurable difference. Not noticing trigger slap

I never considered the laser as my primary sighting system, it's just helpful in a pinch

Recently picked up a SS Colt Commander 9mm. It had been through the Briley shop in Texas.
Shoots great but front strap is bare. It's too slippery when I get sweaty.
I would like to have the pistols front strap checkered but am concerned about it being an alloy receiver. How should the frame be refinished? Re anodize or have a Cera Kote like finish applied.

I've always changed once a year to be safe unless I have a lot of use then I check with a volt meter

The resource for fiber optic stock is helpful. I have been needing to replace a few rods but haven't been able to find sizes and quantities

Your stitching looks much improved. By the time you get to 10 or so it will be better yet

AzShooter is right. They are Chicago fasteners. Many leather supply places have them

My chronograph only showed 6-8 fps

I do like the Spikes. They make a good product

I've stuck with the C/P simply because my pistolsmith liked the setup

I tried magnum primers for a few months. Didn't see any benefit so went back to the standard sm pistol

Brownells and SARCO usually work for me

Definitely starting mag and table starts. Even if you aren't using, it's there

I need to follow this section more often. I don't reload as much as before so I forget the little things

While I prefer bullets forward, bullets out gives me more room

I am part of the way reading through the Dillon 750 manual since I have had my 650's for over a decade. I will have to relearn how to setup the 750
As far as the tool heads go can I simply swap the already setup tool heads from my 650 or are there significant adjustments that need to be made.
My 9mm setup is a Lee carbide size/decap die, Redding Competition micrometer seater and Dillon crimp. I have been using the Lee sizer because sometime ago I was told the Lee die was able to size the brass further down towards the rim than the Dillon. I have the Dillon size/decap die packed away.
Leave well enough alone or install the Dillon?
I ask these questions because I have only been reloading for 52 years and still have a lot to learn
Thanks
