[Looking for range cart. Whats good.]

I went the running stroller route, but was never happy with how much room it took up when collapsed. Also to help it take up less space I had to remove the front tire which became a pain in the A## really fast. Then I saw someone with one of the Sams Club cart as mentioned above. So I went out and bought one and I love it. Folds flat and holds a lot more than the stroller. I do not do 3-gun, therefore do not need the long gun holders.

Just put a down payment on an Open Gun. It is going to stink not being able to shoot it due to not being able to locate powder.

In my mind, adjusting the sights to the left is a band-aid approach. You need to work on your trigger press. I know of a person who was having the same problem- hitting left with his Glcok. A "range master" adjusted the mans sights so he was shooting in the center. Everyone seemed happy. Until through dry fire and many rounds of live fire the person started shooting to the right. The person learned how to properly press the trigger, but now his sights were wrong.

Back many years I was using BBI, then they had an owner change and the customer service went in the toilet. Since then they have again got new owners so I reluctantly gave them another try. I am VERY happy I did. The new owner (Chandler) is awesome, he understands customer service and his product is very good.

If you could only one get one item for Christmas related to practical shooting, what would it be? A class with an instructor, more bullets, more magazines....?

As Leadslinger275 posted, Seeklander's book is good. Also worth reading is Enos' "Practical Shooting, Beyond Fundamentals" as well as Stoeger's "Champion Shooting." In regards to Stoeger's book, he lists 10 drills to get proficient on, something I wish I did when I started shooting competitively.

[Dry-fire reload training question]

One thing I have done is to paint, using "white out", a small rectangle (or square) on the inside bottom of the mag well. This seems to help my focus of looking for the white mark while I am moving the magazine towards the mag well. The extra focus actually makes my reloads faster.

Great Thread. I shot the IN Championship match in August and had way too many mikes. As I evaluated my performance, I came to realize my mikes came on the second shot as I was going to do a reload next or transitioning to another "easy" target. Just got to remember the follow through and get the Alphas.

I really enjoy e-books, and would line up to buy yours Ben. My only complaint with them is when a diagram or a table/graph is added to a page it is too small to read. My suggestion would be that they have there own individual page.

Too many magazines?? Impossible.It is similar to guns, the more the merrier. I bring 9 magazines to local matches, 15 to larger matches. I also buy one additional magazine per year.

I have a Kindle also and love it! I just started reading "A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1) by George R.R. Martin." Which is a change for me, I am more of a Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, Tom Clancy type of reader.

I never used to mark mine, until I kept having problems with one magazine. I would get home from the range and never could remember which one was the problem child. Since marking/labeling them I know which ones are more reliable. Also thanks for the grey sharpie idea.

[How do you put in the fiber optic?]

One thing I do before installing a new fiber optic is to take a razor blade and scrape off all the black paint on the sight where the fiber optic lays. Removing the paint helps make the fiber "glow" better as the sunlight reflects off of the sight onto the fiber.

I hear what your saying. I live in MN and drive to MO on a somewhat regular basis. I just found out that if I deviate my route slightly I can drive right by Midway USA or Brownells. Which can be a scary thing for my pocket book.

I guess what I was looking for was a "warm up" type of dry firing. Not an all out cram session. Just a few minutes to get reacquainted with the gun, before showing up at the match.

4 Stages with about 100 rounds. Wish there were more, but am thankful all the same.
