  1. Alrightly then....we have spinners that sometimes require heavier loads and shot. We have shotgun targets that require a fuller or more open choke. We have rifle targets that many claim to need heavy bullets to activate.....how many more options do we need? Soon we will all look like the local ammo store.....I need heavy bullets for my pistol for those "option" targets that are heavy because I don't want to shoot shotgun...and it goes on and on.

    Well said.... +1

  2.

Is this a new problem that just started happening?

Does the jam happen on any shell out of the tube or just the last 2-3 shells from the mag tube?

How long is the new spring in that 12 round tube?

The problem is very seldom, 200 rounds in my last pratice and had 2 jams both the same, the round stops about 3/4 into the lifter. The 'bend ' is very slight so it might not have any thing to do with it. Does seem to happen on the last few rounds out of the tube. The spring is new ie. 1000 rounds or so. The length of spring is 12 in. past the tube, never cut any coils off. Load is fed. 3 dram 1/8 # 8 . Going to get a new lifter spring and put a new tube spring in and go out tommorow and try again... Thx Larry

  3. Hello. Have had some jams, round coming up from the tube seem to stop at a slight bend on the lifter, the bend seems to be right at the place where my speedloader tube goes into 'on' the lifter to load the gun and has bent it down. Is this normal for a lifter on a gun loaded this way ? Gun is a m-1 24 inch barrel, nordic 12 tube with a new spring and an Arendondo speed chute. :goof: Thx Larry

  4. That's my thought process as well, still would like to know how an ro would call hits without getting somekind of visual on target. Using binocs at nite I think would just add to taking away from him the ability to watch the shooter, I think but could be wrong ....

  5. Kinda had the same idea with the RnR is to put the one chem lite on each side on a 1x2 about 2 or so feet in front or back as to help protect from splatter, don't know if it will be enough lite on the target being that far away, but just like a steer all I can do is try...... Keep the input comming

  6. How well does long range [ 150 ] yard flashers show up with the weapon lite and can the RO. call / see the hits ???... :surprise: Going to experiment some this year with setting up a nite down in AZ in august and am looking at this post for all the info my 3 brain cells can digest..... Thx Larry

Depends on what Light you are using as the competitor. All the matches I have been at have put glow sticks on the flashers, so it is pretty easy for the RO to see. Plus the sparks are cool too.

I've been to a few night matches that are pretty scary. Please talk to some guys who have set them up and run them who know what they are doing. Lights/glow sticks on every person, range clearing protocols, etc.

we use RnR flashers, where would you put the glow sticks at on the flasher that would still show up and not get hit or splattered by the bullet, or put it slightely off away from it ??

  10. Looking to make a weeks worth of reservations in Raton, NM.

I'm going to try and book a cabin at the NRAWC for that week but want a hotel booked just in case that doesn't work out.

Are the any hotels to AVOID?

Have stayed at the cabins before, they r very rustic and basic. Competitor housing would be a step up ie common kitchen tv. In town have stayed at Holiday inn express and had good luck. If seeing the critters is importent to u stay at the range..

  11. As some might have read, we'll start slinging some long guns at our matches. November's match will incorporate a slung rifle in a stage or 2.

We're adding 2 new divisions: Precision Bolt and Precision Semi Auto. For these divisions, it's basically a 4 Gun match. Precision Division participants must shoot at min a 243 and max a 30cal. You will engage smaller, longer targets on the long range stages. The targets will be clearly identified for you and the 3 Gun divisions will not be required to engage said targets.Until this gets traction, we're simply going to say that all rules applies as in Tact-Optics, except you can have a bi-pod and all that good stuff on your Precision gun. This division will be developed and organized better as times goes on.

I'm sure they'll be questions and if you're on FB, please go here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/261928403927136/ so we can keep all the questions there. If not, please post away and I will do my best to answer them in a timely fashion.

    See you on the range!

Pistol, Rifle, or Shitgun rifle. Gotta practice in living room ....!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Can't you get them from Safariland?

Have looked and called, bought 4 sets [8] about 12 years ago and cannot find any one who has them, short of just going to home depot to try to match them up. No big deal I'll find something, all my stuff is wearing out !!!

  13. Hello, A little off topic but I am gearing up for next year.. Going to shoot a 34 with a TLR 2, What holster???? And a bennilli m1 What lite. ???? Thx Larry Any pics would help....

Make sure you check out the new TLR-2 HL or the TLR-2 G. The green laser is way brighter in case your using it for defensive purposes you can actually see the green in the daylight. The HL series are much high lumens which is awesome! I run a BladeTech WRS holster with Tac light.

    http://shop.blade-tech.com/level-duty-holster-wtaclight-c-1_4_8.html#.UlqU9Jm9Kc0

On the shotgun I run dual TRL-1 HL lights on Nordic clamps with pic rails. I run dual lights because the long mag tube blocks a bunch of light on the opposite side. The shotgun also produces a bunch of smoke. If you shoot more than 4-5 shots from in position you can lose sight of the target you just shot and not know you just wiggled it and didn't knock it completely over. Extra light helps cut through the smoke.

Wow ok..... How do u turn on both the tlr-1 on yer shotgun at the same time or do you start the stage with lites on ??? The bladetech Eclipse looks good or do I need the extra retention with the WRS. Have looked at the Surefire M600 scout for rifle and shotgun ?????. Thx Larry Also I thought that open guns were not aloud in this match ??
