  1. Modified function check for a glock should be as follows. (naturally with weapon clear, no magazine inserted, no ammo in the room etc) Starting with the striker in the non cocked position. Charge the pistol( aka rack the slide), with trigger finger applying pressure to the rear. With the slide back in battery, release the trigger pressure, trigger should reset to the forward position (and click). Press the trigger to the rear and the striker should fall. Charge the pistol (aka rack the slide) without depressing the trigger safety in the center of the trigger, attempt to press the trigger to the rear. The striker should not fall.

Sounds like you have to much over travel limiting. To start with dial out some pretravel and some overtravel and start again. Worst case shoot a quickie video and post. Easier to diagnose when I see it. lol.

I would agree, could be the pre and over travel are so close when you have a

full mag in the gun it tweeks the frame so ever slightly and you loose your

settings.follow usmc0326 instructions this should clear it up.

  2. tease, lets hear about your new love

Will get some pics up as soon as they hit my door.

Just a couple of plastic guns. one for open and one for

    shooting steel.

  3. I like the feeling you get when you know the custom gun you ordered is

just a few weeks from being sent.like a kid the first week of december,

knowing santa is bringing just what you asked for.

  4. I had stopped shooting for about 18 months and had only shot glocks.

Came back to shooting and shot a buddys 75 shadow and shot it very well.

Them bought a czechmate and found it is a different beast.Still shot well

just different.Have since gone back to glock. It would be nice to get the

shadow in .40 for about the same $ 1200.00 to shoot limited.

  5. I am getting 20+1 in mine with 0 problems or hiccups (knock on wood). I had to sand the follower down quite a bit more than what Dave demonstrated in his Youtube video.

Do you have any picks of the followers you modified.I did mine the way dave said and can get 20 in them, but no way i will be able to start with one in the gun.Very tight and slide drags. So 19 plus 1 is all i can get.

  6. In action

    and a still photo

I went with the 17 and it has a faster cyclic rate than the 34. I was originally going to build it on a 22 put then decided against it due to mag capacity

Guns looks like it shoots well.did you build it or did you have it built,if so who built it.

    looks good as well

  7. Just purchased one last week and shot my first match with it this last weekend. I had NO(Zero) time to practice with it. I really like it. Trigger reset is a little longer than I am used to, so caused me to not get my second shot off. The trigger pull is excellent! I am really looking forward to competing with this gun. I say buy it!

Appers you can drive that thing pretty well....

  8. I never had any issue with the 140 mags and cv custom bases, and

after talking the grams and installing his follower in the big stick

it ran great 27 rounds and one in the tube. (28) at the buzzer.

  9. post-25458-0-17999900-1334955627_thumb.j My Carver Custom with some SJC parts.

here it is in action. Pay more attention to the way the gun runs as opposed to the tool making a ton of mistakes while shooting it, lol.

Boyglock....nice runs, youre pretty quick on your feet!

Looks like it is working great, what load are shooting in the video?

  10. Here it is guys, as planned

ETA: I plan to cut off the unused portion of the weaver rail in front after i finished testing and confident that this set up is good to go.

I love the 11 port comp.let us know how you like the aim point as well.

I watched the video and the gun seems to shoot really flat, looks great.

  11. If you plan on high cut under trigger and alittle out of the beaver tail area than the sjc

will work great. If hands are normal size or slightly large the sjc will really pinch your hand with

out the high cuts on the frame. If you plan on leaving the frame stock the dawson is a great choice.

  12. I love the dark grey finish on the carver guns.Bobby is building 3 new guns for my self a full open and a steel gun both in 9mm.Hoping to have at least one by mid may.will post some pics.He will then start the build on my 24 limited gun.Cant wait

love shooting some plastic.I would love to try a 40 open. That would be a good idea for my next project.

  13. New family picture.

Just got home from the range. Bought the CTS from a friend to go with my 75 Shadow. I have not shot Limited since Limited was one of two classes and my Single Stack .45 was not exactly competitive with the Para .40's that I was up against.

The gun shoots extremely well. I shot about 120 rounds tonight through it. The trigger is actually a bit frightening at first. I can't imagine that a 1911 can be made much better than this CZ.

    Now to start reloading .40!

Love the cts, cant wait to get one of my own.COME TAX RETURN...
