  1. Shot a 5 port for 2 years on a sjc gun,shot really well.

just had a new gun built and it has a 11 port. will check

back in after i shoot it.I also have a steel gun coming with

a 5 port sjc.So should be able to give a good report.

  2. They will not get here till wed,but bobby shot the open gun and said it shoots great, will let you know as soon as i get to pull the trigger.

  3. I counted 2 empty starts.

It seemed as though it took him a bit to warm up to the trigger and there was a marked increase in his split speeds on close targets between the 2nd and 3rd stages.

Yes alittle off his normal .12 to .14 splits, but im sure they will get better.

  4. spoke to his dad at a Norco match and he is on the team.

What guns/classes is he going to shoot?

Just finished shooting Ohio section with KC. Open Glock. Did not ask any details on the build, but he did say he just recently got it.

    MDA

Anyone have video of KC shooting the Ohio sectional?? Im sure he won't have any issues making that Glock run upfront!

  5. Fine looking gun! Welcome to the club. That gets me thinking.....we should get t-shirts....

I second that idea along with a website! Openglocksrock.com

Seriously any one down to start an o line open glock club? I wouldn't mind running the website... Creating a cool logo.. Openglocksrock.com is available

    www.customglockshooters.com

That does sound cool, count me in.

  6. Can a LimCat Glock (GlockCat, TupperwareCat, GastonCat, etc.) be in the works? I once saw a glock open gun that had a LimCat Turbo comp on it. Johnny Lim is an artist and genius when it comes to this kind of stuff.

That would be awsome, you are really thinking outside the box...

  7. GOT SOME PICS BACK FROM BOBBY WITH SLIDE AND COMP. CUTS

OPEN GUN AND STEEL GUNS WILL BE CUT THE SAME.

BOTH TRITOPPED AND CUTS ON SIDES.

OPEN WILL BE 11 PORT AND STEEL 5 PORT.

  8. Thank you McGlock. I'm using 130 gr fmj bullets with 7 gr of longshot. OAL is 1.156" for an average 1265 fps. With this load I'm reaching major factor and the gun runs pretty flat.

    1265 x 130 / 1000 = 164.45, which is minor power factor.

WRONG... Copied from IPSC handgun competition rules - 2012 edition.

    APPENDIX D1: Open Division

Minimum power factor for Major 160

I thought ipsc is 160 for major and 170 for modified

where uspsa is 165 for major..

Is that silver piece on the frt scope mount screw a thumb rest?

If so how about a pic up close to see how you did it.

    Looks great.

    Sure

    photo-11.jpg

I took a small block of aluminum and drilled a hole. I got a longer screw than the one that came with the mount and simply attached the little block.

I have not shot it a ton yet but so far so good. I'll take it apart so you can see better but it is really simple and it puts the rest right where I want it for my thumb.

Wow so simple as soon as my gun get back from bobby will look into

doing this.I like the feel of a thumb rest. Not sure if I can tell

a diiference in my match scores with one but dont think it hurts.

My old CZ check mate had one.thanks for the pic.

  11. Here's a G17 open I built several years ago. I modified the SJC mount for the JP sight (note the small blast shield) with the thoughts of building a modified gun but changed my mind.......Also built the gauge legal big sticks.

That looks just like the one i use to have.

  12. Carver Customs will build on your gun or build a complete gun.

    Great prices and great service.

also SJC offers complete builds on your gun. (as seen in KC's video)

I have had 2 full Sjc open guns both shot great.

  13. I have had a 6,8, and 12 moa they all have there advantages.

3 I think would be really to small for the kind of shooting

you will be doing. The 8 moa is a great all around size.

12 moa starts to get a little big.My 2 cents would be if you

get the 3 moa after a couple of matches you will wish you had

    the 8 moa.

  14. I should have said more intitially...I had already backed off on both adjustments. I had also already done the function check with weapon empty = all good. I just also did the function check with mag full of dummies = all good, but as soon as I have a mag of dummies in, and cycle it without touching the trigger (as in loading the weapon), it is back to the same problem. I backed the over travel screw all the way back = no change.

You did try with different mags?

trigger bar bent or rubbing on frame when a

    mag is loaded.

    just a couple more thoughts
