Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Have you guys ever seen this website? I found a link to it in one of the other threads on here. It shows taking CS up to 4gr with a 147gr bullet. The Shooters World site only had going to 3.7gr. http://www.natoreloading.com/d032/ I worked my way up to the SW max of 3.7 but found my MV to flatten out at about 850fps which puts me perilously close to 125pf minor limit. It seems strange that 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7gr would be the same. I was weighing my charged on my fx120 scale so I feel confident in the charges. OAL for all was 1.124". I checked about 10ea of them before cranking out 50ea on my 750.
  2. Good catch on thr OAL! Thanks for that. I am running plated RMR 147 FPs with mixed brass and Ginex primers. I figured the barrel length was probably the biggest factor. I am not actively competing but want a load that gives me thr option (USPSA).
  3. I tried to replicate this load but was only getting 835fps ave. That is out of a 3.4in g43 barrel. I am not finding much published load data for these. The Lovex data that i found only had 124gr and 153gr loads. The max for the 153gr load was 3.4gr at 951 fps. assume I can add another .1 or .2 safely with the 147gr FPs. See any issue if my MV is really that low? Average was across 2 mags (34rds). The only other thing I can think of is seating deeper. I am at 1.124in vs your 1.114in.
  4. I found these just today when I was researching before my post. I would like to work my way up a bit, but not sure how to know when is too much. Using rifles, I have ejector marks and bolt lift too. Any suggestions?
  5. I just started loading for 9mm but load a lot for rifles. I found a good deal on some Lovex d032-03. Its supposed to be a very versatile (but fast) 9mm powder for all bullet weights. I grabbed some 147gr Everglades bullets and looked up some data. Lovex had load data for everything except 147 (115gr - 153gr). I picked 3.1gr which is on the bottom end of the 153gr range (2.9 - 3.4gr) and loaded at the recommended 1.125" length. They shot great out of my 9mm PCC and showed no pressure signs but the primers seemed to be pretty cratered out of my g45. I am a noob to pistol pressure signs, but my gut says pressure. Thoughts on these primers?
