Yup and considering most of the time we start with our bodies canted and leaning and hands sometimes are in weird positions, you can almost never get that perfect straight up and down draw. I wanted to break my s#!t on the last retreat stage where hands started on the wall lol

Haha I hear ya, my flex started out great but the more times we had to start in a weird position the less I liked it. I'm really leaning towards the everglades mrh at this point, the double alpha flex has rubbed all the finish off my trigger guard at this point

I just switched to the EG after using the Alpha-X for years. I was absolutely frustrated with the DAA. For a while i was forced to use a muzzle support bc if the gun doesnt sit perfect or come out perfectly straight, it catches and hangs up so you are trying to fight to get it out. I though maybe it was the balance of the gun but i recently got a different Open gun that was completely different and it was doing the same thing. Not so much during dry fire or practice bc for the most part i was standing straight and erect but during matches where you are in different start positions, it was an issue. Nothing like fighting your gun when the start position is hands on walls and its a retreat off the rip.

Dude that's exactly what I'm fighting with now on my flex, seems if you're not exactly perfect on the draw stroke then it binds and makes me wanna throw it as far as I can

Newb who recently got into uspsa. Been doing CO and LO. But really wanting to do open. Tips? Do I absolutely need to reload? We havr some M class open who just buy factory major.

There are plenty of options, everglades, black dot, atlanta arms all sell factory 9 major, but seemed easier and cheaper to load your own, plus you can tune the load to your setup

  4. This is exactly my scenario, I only got into reloading because i have an open gun being built. I got a dillion 750 because i knew I'd want volume as soon as i figured everything out, a lot of cussing and whiskey later i was finally up and running. If I've learned anything, it's any sort of change, reconfirm everything. I started loading some 147s in 9 minor to play with and they are vastly different in seating than my 124s I was using

  5. My brass varies quite a bit as well, I just found out what maximum OAL will plunk in my match guns and just stay under that. I've got rounds ranging from 1.162 all the way down to 1.135 and havent had a problem as of yet

  6. Started with an eotech but found my aimpoint pro more accurate, I like the idea of the super long battery life and solid durability. I think the eotech was too busy if a reticle and liked the simplicity of a single dot

For my Shadow 2, i have to load at 1.18 for a 125 gr RN Blue Bullet to pass the plunk test.  I'm working up some new loads and am loading between 3.4 to 3.8 gr of Titegroup.  I will post chrono results as soon as i get out to the range.

That's about where I'm at too, I settled on 3.7 of TG, i was afraid that loading to 1.16 it wouldnt pass plunking considering cz's notorious short Chambers, but somehow it passed in all 3 czs in my safe
