MikieM
I should think that Hiperfire would have their 24C at the correct dimensions. Nevertheless, I'm going to check and see if there is any side to side movement as the hammer falls. It could be also that the hammer may be coming up under the pin as it strikes, putting lateral stress on the pin and causing it to snap where it steps down to the smaller diameter. Right now I think Les has a good approach to the problem by rounding off the square edges. That should at least cause the hammer to strike the centerline of the pin. I think a good polish with the Dremel couldn't hurt either. Edited April 18, 2018 by MikieM Link to comment
BiggMike
15 hours ago, JAFO said: NFA now has this notation on their spare firing pin page: "**NOTE: Many Aftermarket drop in triggers use modified hammers which may not reset properly, or hit the firing pin square on the carrier which could cause firing pins to bind and snap. We recommend using only MILSPEC hammers with any 9mm, .40, or .45 blow back bolt carrier groups." Will these firing pins work on the Sig MPX? Link to comment
