The 2018 Great Plains Steel Challenge Championship will be held April 14th and 15th at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club near Louisville, NE.

This is a Level II Steel Challenge event comprised of all 8 official SC stages.  Shooters may compete in multiple divisions. Cost: $25 for the first division, and $15 for each additional division. (Juniors are $10 for every entry.)

Shooting will occur in half-day blocks (all 8 stages will be shot in one block) so that there will be four shooting blocks available for competitors to shoot the match (Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon).  Shooters may compete in up to two divisions per block.

Shooters may register to compete in a maximum of four divisions.  On March 1st, if there is sufficient squad space left, competitors may add registrations (and squad) up to an additional two divisions for a maximum of six divisions to shoot in the match.  If this will be allowed, an email will be sent to all registered competitors letting everyone know, and an additional payment button will be added to the Match Payment page.  No matter what, competitors may always register for up to four divisions.

In addition to Division and Category awards, we will be awarding a Rifle Steel Master and a modified Pistol Steel Master award (see website for details).  If a division has at least 10 shooters, 1st Place Class Awards will also be given for classes with at least five in the class in that division. (Unclassified shooters will not receive class awards.)

Further details, registration/payment links, and the matchbook are are available at the website.  Registration is of course through Practiscore.

Last year, we had 215 guns shoot the match.  This year...well, registration has been open for two days, and we currently have 130 guns registered to shoot.  :)  So....we are hoping for even higher numbers than last year, and that seems like a pretty good bet to make.

Hope to see you at the match!

Just wanted to bump this in case some people hadn't seen it.  Registration is currently up to 222 guns entered into the match.  Last year we were the second-largest Level II match in the nation, and we'd like to give Alabama a run for their money this year.  :)  (They were first at 262, darn it.)

10 of the thirteen divisions have enough shooters already to qualify for classification awards, and quite a few classes have already registered enough shooters for a class award in that division.

As was said above---on the website are links to registration (on Practiscore, of course), the matchbook, and payment.

Hope to see you at the match!
