Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Your right the breakin period was for me not the gun before the next idpa shoot. It shot great and my score dropped by about 15 seconds from the last 5 shoots. It could have just been an easier course of fire but i think it was the gun.
  2. Just got back from the range with the new to me 34. 400 mixed rounds of fmj and jhp. Not one issue. Now I just need to adj the sights. I'm just to the left on all my shots. I had tight groups from 15 yards just off of dead center. Nothing more shooting can't fix.
  3. Figures, I win my gunbroker auction and then see the glock 34 with work already done to it in the classifieds. Well it will not be here for this weeks match but I should have it in a week or so
  4. I double up. My hearing is bad from not using anything when I was younger. Everyday in meetings I'm reminded how bad my hearing is.
  5. I'm starting to browse those sites but some of the guns are retail or higher. I'm just a poor farm boy that loves to shoot.
  6. I'm in the market for a glock 34 for myself and a xd tactical for the wife. What other sites should I keep an eye on? I know as soon as I order new guns from buds I'll find them used everywhere.
  7. That's a nice price on a 34. Wish I could find a deal one like that. The 17 I saw yesterday was 665.
  8. I travel to Melbourne all the time and wondered if there were any good ranges or gun shops around that area or Orlando. Thanks
  9. I used to spend my summers up there and I commercial fished a few years out of pilot point. The drive between anchorage and Fairbanks has some great views and fishing in streams along the side of the road. I never got into fishing for reds combat fishing was never any fun. Dollyvarden and silvers were my favorite. Outside Fairbanks is a small place that's great. Chena hotsprings I think. A couple friends have cabins there. It's a winter resort but a great place anytime.
  10. I just started reloading for 9mm, I already load for .44, .45, 30/30 and 12gauge. I'm planning on spending 100-150 to help this old girl run better. Thanks for the suggestions. Where is a good place to bit the sights?
  11. We shoot idpa and might get into some other shooting sports as the boys get older. I'll read up on sights and polishing to start. Keep the ideas coming.
  12. I shoot an old 17 with no modifications. What are the best mods for the money? With 4 of us at home shooting most of our funds go toward ammo. Thanks
  13. Talked to some great folks that told me about the board. Lots of great info for me here. I have a slight shooting condition but I wouldn't call it a disease yet. After reading about all the great shooters here I'm not sure how long I can wait until I start getting my old glock worked on. Steve
