Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Does anyone know if DPMS makes their own Uppers and Lowers? If they don't do you know who makes their stuff? Thanks.
  2. I am looking to buy a scope mount for my M1A. Looking hard at the Sadlak Aluminum. I don't want to spend more than $200.00. I do want a mount thats a "see thru". It's not going to be a competition rifle. Just a fun gun. Thanks.
  3. For many years I ran a 122 grain lead bullet with 3.8 grains of Bullseye. This would run about a 135 PF from my Sig 226. I don't remember the OAL I was running. I've had great luck with Bullseye.
  4. I have used the Rooster Lube. It's easy to use, you pour it over the bullets and let it drain off. It dries clear and hard but there is one big downside. It tends to collect inside the seating die and will change your OAL. It was more trouble than it was worth for me. I still use the Lee lube for most practice bullets.
  5. Johnb, I'm shooting a S&W square butt L Frame. Will they fit? I'll take them if they do. Thanks.
  6. Sometimes in IDPA I'll shoot my S&W Revo. Currently using Hogue Monogrip with finger grooves. I'm thinking about switching to the Miculek wood grips. Before I spend the money, anybody have any feedback back? I know grips get personal, but respect all input. Thanks
  7. I run the MG 147 at 1.150. They run perfectly through my Sig 226, Ruger SR-9, Glock, Tanfoglio and Kel-tec. Good Luck.
  8. I shoot a Stock 1100 Tactical in 3-gun. It has been flawless, and has less recoil than the others. I keep it clean and well oiled and just keep pulling the trigger. Good luck.
  9. I've used several 9mm's, but I've only used a S&W mod 19 and a 586. I don't load to max. I load to about a 135 power factor. I've had no leading issue's. The lead I've been buying is running 356. I've never checked the bore diameter on either S&W. It just saved me from buying two different bullets. Call me cheap.
  10. For the las 15 years I have bought only 9mm 147 grain lead bullets and shot them in both my 9mm and my 38 sp revolver. I think they actually were more accurate in the 38 than the 9mm. I saw no difference. I'd give it a try.
  11. Just bought a FN 5.7 and I reload for all my guns. Anybody out there reloading for the 5.7? I know it's a tricky little guy to reload, but where there's a will there's a way. thanks.
  12. I've run across a 24" SS barrel and the only markings on it are, BMP 556 Nato H-BAR. Anyone know who makes this barrel and any comment on their quality. It's nicely machined and it great condition. Thanks.
  13. Just so we are on the same page. I've been casting bullets and reloading for over 30 years. I wanted to try the Moly Powder to get away from lubing one bullet at a time. These lead bullets are hard cast, sized, then cleaned. I tumbled them with Moly and BB's for about 1 hour. Came out looking GREAT. Loaded up 25 and shot them today. DON'T do it. Talk about a leaded barrel. Worst I've ever had in almost 40 years of shooting. Very Hard to clean. I guess I'll have to go back to Lee Alox or Roosters but they are ugly bullets. Any Ideas???
  14. I bought some Super Moly Powder to coat cast lead bullets but it didn't come with any directions. Seems there are many thoughts about the best way to do it. Does anyone have any success stories? Thanks in advance.
