Hk Barrel Has Gouge In Chamber

HK USP Compact 45 has a little gouge in the chamber wall, near the rear at 3 o-clock. Its triangular, pointing towards the rear and slightly downwards, and about 3 millimeters wide at the base.

I wonder if they would replace the barrel. I kinda like to keep my barrels nice.

Don't know what could have caused this; could the cartridge be chambering in a way that angles the edge of the case in this direction, causing it to knock against the chamber wall?

InTheBlack,

I have a buddy who blew up his H&K on a double charged reload, the slide and barrel were trashed. He sent everything back to H&K and they squared him away with all new parts for free even though he admitted to shooting reloads through the gun. :o
