InTheBlack Posted December 2, 2003 Share Posted December 2, 2003 HK USP Compact 45 has a little gouge in the chamber wall, near the rear at 3 o-clock. Its triangular, pointing towards the rear and slightly downwards, and about 3 millimeters wide at the base. I wonder if they would replace the barrel. I kinda like to keep my barrels nice. Don't know what could have caused this; could the cartridge be chambering in a way that angles the edge of the case in this direction, causing it to knock against the chamber wall? Bill Schwab Posted December 2, 2003 Share Posted December 2, 2003 InTheBlack, I have a buddy who blew up his H&K on a double charged reload, the slide and barrel were trashed. He sent everything back to H&K and they squared him away with all new parts for free even though he admitted to shooting reloads through the gun.
