Catfish
Shot this yesterday - got back to 35-40 yards before I ran out of room at the range - probably wasn't going to get much farther back than that as it was - great drill!
David Benzick
I shot this drill again yesterday with my limited pistol but changed the target size. I previously had be using a 3 1/2"x3 1/2" sticky note. Yesterday, I shot on a 2 1/2" wide 3 1/2" tall business card. While I only got back to 22 yards on the smaller target, I felt I was really triggering the pistol well and also I was seeing the sights lift off the target better. With the narrower target it is more important that the front sight is perfectly centered in the rear notch when the shot breaks and I beleive that is an important aspect of aiming that I have allowed myself to overlook in the past.
