Graham Smith
I will say it's easier to go down from a G34/35 to a G17/22 than go up. You can build alternate uppers. That's something that I am just starting to fully appreciate. The G17, 17L, 22, 24, 31, 34, and 35 all appear to use the same frame (receiver). That means that it should be possible to purchase different slides, barrels, and mags down the road to "make" different guns for different sports. So many toys, so little time (and money)! Tattoo
You will be more than happy w/ the G35. Shoots soooo soft w/ .40 minor and you can load up to major for limited. Very versital. Plus the G34/35 definetely shoot softer than the G17/22. Shot them all. The only downside now is that .40 bullets are more $$ than 9mm. Have fun!
