Pat Miles
Anybody aware of a manufacturer who makes a .157" barrel link pin? Recently bought a big name maker Limited gun. Going through it I found that the link pin had been ground back about .125 of normal length. Why, I don't know but I would like to replace it with the correct length pin. Diameter measures .157". Brownells offers oversize pins of .156". Any help is obviously appreciated. Thanks, Pat
TimWarner
if you can't find one, I could probably grind down a .157 A2 or M3 punch to the right length for you. Should work out the same.
Pat Miles
Tim, I appreciate the offer! Let me see what I might be able to find and if nothing is available I'll get in touch with you. I would just like to have this gun right. Thanks, Pat

logman
Pat, You'll find that a #22 drill bit is 0.157 and pins are available from machine supply co.s ,McMaster-Carr being a national one that you can check on line. Or you might try using the shank from the end of a drill bit. A #21 bit is 0.159 check with micrometer as they can be under a little. GOOD LUCK! Pat Miles
Logman, Thanks for the info. I'll look at the drill bit route or McMaster Carr. Pat
