Why Only 12?

Gentlemen - I respectfully suggest you take your p!ssing contest off list and allow this thread to contiue discussing the merits (or not) of having only 12 classifiers count each year for each club.

Now, ending the thread drift, can anyone from the BoD who's online shed some light on this issue?

If you have enough volunteer help, I think you could split your schedule by Divisions and shoot twice in some months. My personal suggestion is:

1. Revolver, Limited-10, Open

2. Production, Single Stack, Limited.

Of course split the way your shooters or volunteers want to do it.

For clubs that shoot in all weather, you could do this every month. Otherwise, try the two match format in Spring and Fall.

getting some confirmation from Val at HQ (thanks Josey!!); but if I understand her correctly, then a club can turn in one classifier per match shot, with the exception of a special classifier match - but only submit mission count for 12 matches annually.

This makes sense to me; I'd like to see all of our mission count go towards the section's overall count, but I can understand the rationale.
