The above disjointed stories are about the rescue and eventual use of two unique and interesting machines. 

A Benchmaster Milling machine. 

A Craftsman, Atlas, Clausing six-inch lathe. 

Rather than take the time to clean up the story I'm just posting the links because I already made it redundant and confusing once. 

I'm lazy and haven't finished my first cup of coffee after having been woke up several times last night for several minor emergencies. 

I figure if I start drinking now it's early enough to consider it "drinking all day".
