glock17w
I am thinking about changing my sights on my G17. I currently has the Dawson Adjustable FO Rear and FO front. I want to change to the Warren Tactical Rear. I read on the Warren websight that the front sight used in the set is .215". I read on the Dawson website that the front sight that I currently have is .285". If I change the rear sight to the Warren, will I need to change the front sight as well? Can I keep the Dawson front sight? How will it affect POI? Would .070" really make that much of a difference? in my opinion, I wouldn't think so. glock17w
Chuck Anderson
You'll be below the target at about 10-15 yards with that combo. If you want to keep fiber Dawson makes a .205, and a .225 for the Glock. Neither is perfect but they are a lot closer. The Warren site also lists a Fiber Optic sight in the works. glock17w
I am going to stick with with the sights I have now. No need to change them.
