nvmichael
I'm new to the pins and steel shoots and am in need of a holster for a 6" revolver. Any recommendations appreciated. Thank you.
Carlos
Kydex. What gun? Pins rules require shooting off the rail or a table, not from a holster (except there are no longer any uniform rules for pins). Never heard of using a holster for pins though. nvmichael
Carlos, One of the requirements for both shoots is you have to have a holster. They stand in front of the pins or steel plates, draw your gun and knock 'em down. I was going to use my Colt Python for steel. Loaded with 38s. And a Smith 44 for the pins. BUT, I just bought a 1911 that is a tack driver. So I will probably use the 1911 for both. I just gotta practice more. Is kydex the plastic stuff? Any recommendations on makers? Sixgun
Kydex is the plastic stuff. Try looking at Cen-Dex holsters, Comp-Tac, Ky-Tac (personal experience...really nice holster, but takes a long time to receive), Bladetech, Side Armor, Uncle Mikes, Fobus and I'm sure I'm missing a few.. Those websites can all be found in the "Here's some holster makers" thread in the Gear FAQ's at the top of the page. Ray
