aandabooks
I'm in the process of switching to all Federal primers but in the meantime I have several thousand other primers to shoot through. I don't always run through all the primers and when I need to load for one of my revolvers I have to go to Federals. What is the easiest way to empty out the primer system? So far I have been cycling the press empty and picking each primer off the anvil.
TDA
Remove the three screws that hold the primer system in and remove the entire primer assembly. Then just turn it over and dump them out of the tube.
jmorris
The easiest way is to load until your out of primers. #2 would be to remove the 3 socket head cap screws that hold the primer system in place and invert the system catching them falling out of the inlet to the tube into a container, make sure to put your thumb over the one in the cup, on top of the anvil when you do or you will have to chase it.
