roadie3
My setup for 3-Gun with brass that has previously been processed: 1. Take the dirty brass and run it though the tumbler to do the majority of the cleaning. I'm not concerned about dirty primer pockets since these loads are not for precision. 2. Run the bass through the resizing process. I use the lanolin/95% alcohol lube and with the cases cleaned the lube mix provides a very smooth action. When I have sized dirt brass, the process was not as smooth. 3. Run the brass through the tumbler for 10-15 minutes to clean off the lube. I use a brass/media separator and that has greatly reduced the amount of time to separate the brass and media. It wasn't always that way 4. Prime and reload the rounds as normal. I try to be as effecient as I can with a single stage press, someday I'll be able to buy a progressive press, and this process means I only run the brass through the press once during the prep process. When I buy military brass the process is slightly different: 1. Tumble clean 2. Resize 3. Tumble - short time 4. Swage/use a pocket cutter to remove crimp (only done once) 5. Trim to length (only done once) 5. Reload Hope this helps.
