  1. Thanks for all the info. I will be shooting for a few more events this year before everything closes down for the season. But now I know for next year.
  2. Do you remember the name of the 3 gun event? I am trying to shoot a USPSA match at Chillicothe in the coming weeks, my schedule right now is making it a challenge to get out there.
  3. Great advice. I will pick up some more slugs and do pattern testing with different chokes next time I am out on the range.
  4. This may be a silly question, but have you found one choke that works better for slugs than another? MarkCO have you tried the non-copper plated x-treme slugs?
  5. Tom or Pat, Do you suggest running a box of 3" shells through the P3K version to break in the shotgun? I know this is what Stoeger recommends for the stock versions. Wondering if you have any ideas about break in period with a shortened spring? Thanks
  6. Thanks for the kind words BTW, your shotgun is almost complete, awaiting only the Spiral-fluted Mag-tube spacer coming back from Anodize before final assembly. Should ship early to mid next week! That is fantastic! Im super excited to get my hands on this and take it to a range and then onto a competition.
  7. Tom, The human body is design remarkable well, even with all the abuse we give it. My wife is a physical therapist and I have often heard how well patients do after surgery, both hip and knees. The rehab won't be a walk in the park, unless you have a great therapist, but you will feel so much better I know I am alright waiting for some work to be done because I know you have done such a great job of taking care of your customers. I greatly appreciate all your work. A little wait is worth the great care and quality you produce. Thanks for all your work. - Benjamin
  8. Has anyone compared H335 to CFE223? I have heard great things about both but I have not seen a comparison. Thanks
  9. What throw lever is on the strike eagle? I have been searching for one to put on my build.
  10. Mega Arms make some really nice billeted upper/lower sets. They are not the least or most expensive, middle of the road. http://www.megaarms.com/ar-15/receiver-sets/
  11. What are yall using for mounts on this budget priced optic? Warne X-skel gen 2. Seems solid and as a bonus Warne supports the sport. Picked up a second one off the RM3G prize table. I have the 3" offset from Vortex. It is well made and works great. I think the 2" would have also worked, but I didn't want to have the scope mount as far forward as I have seen some others.
  12. Thanks for compiling this list. It's the best I've seen so far.My P3K is on it's way home, but I doubt it will make it to my local Post Office today. I believe the P3K package now also includes the Kick-Eez pad. I asked it be added to mine, and I added the TTI lifter and welded up shell release (Benelli Button). You have at least two options for the mag tube shroud; carbon fiber or helix (spiral fluted?) aluminum. Aluminum is ~$50 cheaper and same weight as carbon fiber. When did you send yours in? I'm trying to gauge how long I should wait before calling.
  13. These are from my conversations/emails with Tom: The regular Comp package was approx $350 and the P3K package is $600. (Tom, if those prices are inaccurate, please let me know.) First I will start with the common features shared by both shotguns, and then the differences. Both guns- CNC loading port modifications- $125 Extended bolt release lever- $20 Oversize charging handle- $30 Oversize safety- $25 Low drag follower $15 TTI hammer spring or reduced trigger pull $8 Features unique to standard competition package: Polish factory magazine tube (no charge) Fully adjustable trigger group- $65 oversize adjustable disconnector to reduce trigger reset $20 Magazine extension kit +5 to +9, your choice $79 Features unique to P3K: XS rear slug sight, set of 3 heights- $60 Dovetailed fiber-optic front sight- $30 Undercut front of trigger guard- $50 Upgrade to Benelli extractor and spring $19 Polish extractor cut in barrel $10 Shorten recoil spring spacer for light loads $15 CarbonArms Magazine tube with MXT extension and spiral fluted spacer $205 Double headed oversize safety upgrade $10 Cerakote receiver and laser engrave P3K logo $75 These are the regular prices if features were purchased separately, which is why the totals are more than the cost of the packages. A significant discount is taken when features are incorporated into a standard package.
  14. I have one on my M3K and like it a lot. I had a sore cheek the first time I shot the gun, but I adjusted the shims and added the pad and now the gun is much more comfortable to shoot. One thing to keep in mind is that they are not the most durable things. After one 3Gun match mine was starting to get torn up from the gun getting dumped in boxes/barrels. I wasn't throwing it down either, just setting it down fast. I still dig them, but just an fyi. Did you do the 3/16th thickness or something else?
  15. Not to change subjects but, does anyone use or recommend Check-Eez for their M3000 or M3K? Im trying to figure if it is a worthwhile add-on. Thanks
  16. Thanks for that article. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to perform a more scientific based comparison, especially for a seemingly subjective topic.
  17. The Stoeger P3K package can be performed on either a M3000 or the M3K. The photos Pat posted of the P3K are of a M3000 that the work was done to. I think the big difference between the M3000 and M3K is going to be how much material you are able to remove from the loading port. The M3K has a relocated serial number and that allows more material to be removed if you desire. The MOA packages, competition or P3K, can be performed on either shotgun. Pat or Tom, please correct me if I am wrong.
  18. I have the JP and really like it. But this falls into the category of asking 5 guys and getting 5 different answers. Personal preference really..
  19. SWFA has a statement that it's preorder Not sure. When I ordered it through amazon, they gave a shipping date of August 20th. There is a lot of confusion surrounding this scope and when it will be available. More of the retailers side on that one.
  20. SWFA/Amazon have a couple in stock right now. http://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Strike-1-6x24-reticle-SE-1624-1/dp/B00S2P2KKS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439589898&sr=8-1&keywords=strike+eagle http://swfa.com/Vortex-1-6x24-Strike-Eagle-Rifle-Scope-P79101.aspx
  21. Thanks Pat. Those look great! Now I am even more excited for my P3K to arrive.
  22. If you have a scale, that will be the best and usually most accurate method for case counting. The two minutes of time to weigh some brass more than makes up for the extra case or two that might get through. But if you have lots of extra time on your hands, you could always count each case. I always loose track around 100 and then scratch my head and start over.
