I seems to go right in the middle of the G1 and the G7 data. a 308 175 bthp m going 2607 fps at the muzzle at 1000 yards has a G7 ballistic read of 1830 vel 1301 energy and drops 238.5 inches and MOA come up of 22.8 it has a G1 ballistic read of 1222 vel 580 energy drops 351.5 inches with a 33.6 MOA come up as per Hornadys ballistic calculator. the Nightforce ballistics is about in the middle( has a MOA come up of 29.0 ), and does not give you the G1 G7 option. Graham Smith Posted October 9, 2014 Share Posted October 9, 2014 When you say, "got one of these", what are you referring to? PC software or on some kind of device? As far as I am aware, the device hasn't been made for quite some time and the software may or may not be up to date. Odds are good that it's using some kind of G1 factors. If the results you are getting don't match something else, then odds are they are using a different BC or slightly different computations.
