HK lion Posted December 16, 2004 Share Posted December 16, 2004 First year of my ipsc "career", using self loaded 9mm ammo. 30 round long course, first bang and the slide stays half open. Tried to clear malfunction fast but no luck. Looked at my gun and i see 1 live cartridge, 1 bullet, 1 empty brass and a lot of powder? Happened three times on that stage. Problem was that i didnt crimp the ammo enough and i just had added more rounds to my mags after stages. After the match i bought Lee´s factory crimp die... Being a little paranoid though, i now empty my mags after a stage and load with new ammo, and use those that have been in a mag while shooting in next practise. Or shoot with factory ammo...
