fireloo
I just received a new long slide conversion for my Hunter. Have fitted the slide to frame and in trying to install the slide stop pin, I can not get it to seat. The barrel lug appears to be too low for the pin to clear. Apparently the barrel is not seating fully into the top of the slide. Is there some easy fix that I'm missing? Surely I don't need to open up the slot in the barrel lug slot, right? Any help is appreciated.
babo_al
Same process as fitting 1911 barrel on the slide , make sure barrel hood clears the bridge face of the slide , go slow by removing very little material at the time from the barrel hood { paint with marker and look for contact points } until there is full contacts between barrel lugs and slide. If there any need to modify the barrel lugs measure them first with micrometer { with and depth} and see if they match the same dimension on the slide. There is a lot more to it so if in doubt don't mess with it .... leave it to the one that does it for living Edited January 9, 2014 by babo_al
