sandrooney
I have a Brazos 38 super. I was cleaning it and noticed that there was a slight gouge on the slide rail, nothing severe but noticeable. There are also two dimples on the bottom of the barrel right where the guide rod head sits. Is it possible for the guide rod to get turned and scrape the slide rail ? The scuff on the slide rail is right where the guide rod head sits. It looks like the only thing that could have done it. There is a very very slight rub mark on the other side of the slide in the same spot. I am running a shock buff, and the pistol never malfunctioned. I bought the pistol used and it was fine when I got it and I have shot several hundred rds through it cleaned it before and after my last match and it was not like that. I went out and shot a hundred rds the other day and took the top off to wipe it down and there it was, it had to happen in that hundred rds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, SR Edited November 22, 2013 by sandrooney
