Julien Boit
I noticed that my Trubor barrel has a little milling on the bottom . Just in front of the feet, about 2 inches long . Anybody knows why such a milling was done ? Something about the recoil master ? I already saw it on a VIP barrel I think.
Patrick Sweeney
Probably done to provide clearance for the recoil spring setup. I've seen guns built by new gunsmiths that lacked clearance in one or more of the critical spots, and the long-term result (aometimes not so long term) isn't pretty.
