Lead bullets jamming

Thanks for all the input. Here's what I did today: I loaded 3.0, 3.3 and 3.4 of TG with an OAL of 1.08. All of them cycled the gun well and accuracy was good. One interesting note - the middle load of 3.3 produced a lot of smoke. But at any rate, I think the problem has been found.

Glad to hear it worked - I've got the same problem with the same bullet. First time running lead instead of FMJs in a 9mm, and they were sticking hard in my M&P. I'll have to work with the OAL, and see what mine needs to function. I did press a dummy load into the chamber, and it left a visible band on the lead right above the case mouth where it was sticking. Wish I had tried that first, instead of assuming that I had done something wrong with the cases. :(

My buddy's M&P liked the first long OAL batch better than my pistol, but his does have about 10k FMJ more than mine down the barrel. I'm guessing the start of the rifling in his barrel is worn more than mine, or could have been cut a hair different from the factory.

After you are finished with the MB ones, I would suggest going to a different brand. MB is the only company that I am aware of that produces a lead bullet so round. I have had good luck with unique precision bullets
